Ziggurat or Never Alone, IndieGAF?

Ziggurat is quite bland compared to other similar FPS roguelike games like Tower of Guns. But yeah, I am not too hot on either.

Absolutely fantastic game. It has my favorite atmosphere of any game. So alien and otherworldly. And visual design is masterul. It's linear but you feel lost, like you're actually exploring this place. The way the game guides you with visual cues and distant landmarks is brilliantnaissanceE is currently 66% off on greenmangaming

Divide by Sheep
Bloodily adorable puzzle game, with a puzzle mechanic that is as simple as it is intriguing. This is actual "number juggling", without going into deep maths. It still ends up pretty challenging with weird level elements, like a way to literally divide sheep and wolves that decimate your sheep populace, while at the same time can be used as blocking elements. Very nifty, highly recommended on PC as well, but the controls are probably a tad better suited to the mobile platforms.
Compared to Dead SpaceI just finished Stasis. That was some fucked up shit. The best kind of fucked up shit.
---It's horrifying in its own, more... personal sort of way.
---The amount of grey hairs that I've developed since @StasisGame started playing mind-tricks on me is astounding.
---Love the atmosphere in @StasisGame. It seems all fun & games until things get a lil unnerving. And then something scares the crap out of you
Ok so first 30 mins of @StasisGame oozing atmosphere, rocketed me back to the 90s in all the right ways.
---Some late night time @StasisGame. So thick with atmosphere.
---@StasisGame holy fuck I almost had a heart attack! Shame on you!
---Playing @StasisGame...and oh fuck, I have to do what? I think this just might top Dead Space 2's eye needle moment
Finished @StasisGame this morning, still ruminating. Tis a good feeling.
There was a rule, but i forgot what exactly it was. It was something like its always trying to split evenly if possibly and then prefers a certain direction for the leftover sheep.Been playing this a little bit today and have encountered trampolines. When you have three sheep and a trampoline with two exits, is there any way to tell how the game will distribute them? It seems kind of arbitrary and I lost a level because it sent two sheep to the right instead of the left; there wasn't really any way I could see to plan for that outcome.

The arrows flash in the order that the sheep go. It alternates between the two (or more?) directions.
So if there are three sheep and a left->right trampoline, two will go left and one right.
I was looking in the games on OP and I'm wondering why Tembo was included, it's developed by Game Freak, the makers of Pokémon.

STASIS is a point-and-click, sci-fi, horror adventure game played from a unique isometric perspective.
In the distant future, aboard a seemingly abandoned spacecraft, John Maracheck awakes from stasis. He must push himself to new physical and emotional limits and unravel the mysteries around him.
John is in tremendous pain, his wife and daughter are missing, and time is running out as the Groomlake plunges further into the swirling blue methane clouds of Neptune.
Damn and i was quieter than normal.
Literally games are just disappearing under the deluge.
So Toma, or anyone else, playing STASIS? It's so good, took me about 9-10 hours. What an experience. I thought the ending was a tad rushed, but man, it was gripping and disturbing and gorgeous throughout
And game violence rarely makes me wince but these is a moment here that had me cringing like nothing since Dead Space 2's eye needle. Holy shit

Rain World's devlog could practically be a Unity tutorial at timesCan anyone recommend good blogs from game devs documenting the progress on their games?
The more technical the better!!
When hitting a corner I split the rope in two at that point and then apply the same logic on both the new segments recursively - stepping down in a tree like way until all the intersecting points have been handled. I actually only calculate distance for the points that are inside the sweep area, but what points are inside the sweep area is determined using a triangle/point overlap which calls the line/point distance three times
Working with Rain World has made me become pragmatic rather than idealistic when it comes to optimization - usually all attempts at optimization of stuff like this are utterly soaked by some pathfinding line that is called 14 000 times per frame, outweighing anything that could or couldn't be done differently in a thing like this astronomically. So I've started to gravitate towards writing the easiest, cleanest solution, and then if there is a performance problem optimize it. So far, no problem with performance! Most rooms seem to have less than 100 convex corners anyways, so it blazes through those pretty quickly. If I were to optimize however, I'd take out the tiles that are affected by the sweep and find the corner points in there frame by frame. As most swipes are probably very small and not overlapping any corners that'd likely save some time. For a non-tile based situation like your sketch you could divide the space into sections and only check the points in the affected sections.
I do think that the convex hull algorithm could be useful as an optimization in a non-tile based scenario, but it would have to be complemented by something, as not every convex vertex is necessarily part of the convex hull:

Hey, Phawx, I saw you had APT. Any impressions?
I've got to be honest, the indie scene kind of went by me in the last console generation.
Now, I am discovering all of these gems, that I never played before, like Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons, Journey, etc...
What in your mind are the must play Indie games out there?
I have a PS4, a crappy PC and a Macbook Pro, as well as one iOS and one Android device.
Looking forward to your recommendations.
