Ninterudo Empire crushes Segua Kingdom in the end?

The Sunny Empire rises and completely annihilates the Segua Kingdom, driving a small remnant of the Ninterudo faction into hiding.

There they wait and bide their time until they can have their revenge.

Until a young guy named iwata builds a money making machine to finance the rebuilding of the empire

and the Sunny empire realises they have tons of land but sod all cash

Even if this series only covers the 16-bit wars and ignores the horrors of the following eras, this is still going to end up a tragedy, since by the end the 16-bit era the SNES had outsold the Genesis/Mega Drive by over 10 million units, and, on a region-by-region level, Sega only managed to beat Nintendo in Europe, where Nintendo was already pretty weak.

Meanwhile the Sunny Empire faces a new threat from across the seas to the West, but manages to repel it. At the same time they send a massive army to attack the last Ninterudo hideouts in the ghettos of Handheldia, but resistance is stronger than expected. Some begin to wonder if the Sunny Empire is overextended and stretched too thin...

Soon Ninterudo detonates there new weapon, the wiitomic bomb. They conquer large amounts of land from the Sunny Empire. Meanwhile, the Micro Confederacy are carving out land from the western part of Sunny Empire. Despite many new soldiers, the Sunny Empire is fraction of what it used to be. Both the Sunny Empire and the Micro Confederacy start development of their own super weapons.

The Sunny Empire sends a new army to the ghettos but it is completely wiped out when the great General MonHun betrays his men and switches sides to lead a resurgent Ninterudo force. Meanwhile Ninterudo ninjas sneak into the heart of the occupied lands they once controlled and steal the Bayonet superweapon from its rightful owners. The people begin rioting in the streets even as Emperor Kaz tries to assure them that all is well.

The sun begins to set on the Sunny Empire. Tune in next time for the sequel.

So pretty much Hyperdimension Neptunia?

It's funny because that's what I was thinking the moment I saw the topic title, and SEGA helps publish that. That and the newest game, Hyperdimension Neptunia V, is set around time travel and the console war of the late 80s/early 90s (as the first game was about the Wii versus 360 versus PS3 and the sequel was about handhelds).

In response to the wiitomic bomb, the Micro Confederacy developes a new kinetic superweapon. It's unveiling provides a large boost to the moral of common troops, but new weapon holds a shameful secret. It's guidance systems is completely inadequate. The Micro Confederacy simply cannot control the direction of the weapon once deployed, making it impossible to hit valuable targets such as the much coveted land of Harcordia.

I was going to say that it misses Alex Kidd ... but then I remembered how it's 16 bit games were the absolut nothing in sales and relevance =/

Still be awesome to see him as an old warrior that can't fight anymore.... maybe he can even give Sonic's sword or something.

Also, for something that is SEGA related... there are way too few SEGA characters ... I mean .. there is Luigi but not Tails or Knucles ?

Aww, I was kinda hoping the characters would be based on the hardware. Then it'd be like Castle Vidcons: The Anime.
