I don't dislike musicals but I don't go out of my way to watch them either. After GLORIOUS Whiplash, though, I'll be there for this movie day fucking one.

Well... no, I won't say I hate musicals, because that's as dumb as painting an entire genre with a wide brush. But I'm not a fan of conventional showtunes kinda deals, because I think they're cheesy and boring. They're joyful to the point of boredom obnoxiousness imo.

The trailer itself made me feel... unsure, but I'll definitely watch it. Whiplash was THAT good
