LGBTQIA+ |OT9| The Return of the Queen

of all the polemic topics I've seen, the age is not one I have really talked...

which would be limit for you on the age of your partner?

I currently hesitate to date anyone below 21 (I'm 28). And I'd say 10 years is my personal limit. Once I'm 36, 21 y/os are just in such a different state of life that I think it'd be difficult to reconcile.

I could date a lot younger than older, and it's not because I don't find older people attractive. I just refuse to grow up, and I feel like being more mature would be expected from dating someone significantly above my age.

I'm 23 and I can't imagine being with someone who is 21 lol. The last person I hooked up with was 47 but I think my age range for dating is like 25-35ish give or take a few years.

i'd never date anyone under 21 cuz they can't do cool shit

Have the party at your house and they don't have to get ID'd 😊

My six year younger sister used to bring a bunch of her friends over to the house because we were living together before she went to college. Then after she left a lot of those friends just upgraded to being my friends instead. One of these was particularly flirty and eventually became an occasional third for me and my girlfriend. She's nineteen. I don't think a full relationship would be tenable long-term, but damn if she's not fun in the mean time.

My ex was 2-3 years younger. I'm 29 now, so I think i'd span up to 5 year difference between myself and another.

Though to be fair, if I connect with someone older, or younger, so be it.

47? Ugh that's such a perfect daddy age, jealous

My ideal is my age to 45 but who am I kidding my desperate unlovable ass would accept anything from anyone at this point

for me it would have to be something like 18-23/4 mostly because i'm still quite inexperienced myself so a majorly older guy would intimidate me

... but I'm also intimidated by older and/or experienced people.

But what if it's like in some porno's I've seen?

...this changes things

I work in promotions. I actually put the CW promos together too. It takes like 3 seconds since it's stuff CW gives us but still it's cool.

Oh, neat!

I received an invitation from the Governor of Victoria to attend the reception at her official residence for IDAHOBIT, the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia.

The invitation is for a guest as well so I'll be taking my dad, and he's happy with that. :)

The Governor is the non-elected (official, technical) head of state, appointed by the Queen on the advice of the Premier who is (basically) the elected one.

Congrats!

I've been thinking a lot as of late on getting skin removal surgery at some point. I've been researching and talking to a friend who had it done when she lost a lot of weight, and I honestly feel this may be the best direction to go in a sense. I know I'm not going to lose that much more weight, but in my head I look big, but its the skin that flaps.

Last night at the gym my man boobs which haven't jiggled in months were everywhere, then I noticed it was the excess skin. =(

The idea is awesome but incredibly scary also.

that sounds kinda scary, but if you have lost that much weight, it is a necessary evil... you should make it.

BTW, how much have you lost in weight?

I lost in the range of 135-140+ pounds.

I'm not entirely sure if I'm going to but I just don't like what I see in the mirror. I want to feel comfortable going shirtless, which I have never been able to do.

that's a lot! congrats! it must have been a huge effort...

that is why I said it might be a necessary evil, it is for the better even if the process isn't exactly a pleasant trip

I think feeling weird about dating someone a few years younger is silly. Age is just a number. I slept with a cop three times my age once

Were handcuffs used?

No.

I didn't find out he was a cop until afterwards.

Conversation went something like this:

(We already slept together, I was getting dressed and leaving)

"I think you're a nice guy, Crayons"
"How would you know? First impressions are often wrong"
"I do a lot of profiling at work"
"You're a cop"
"No, I'm in law enforcement"
"You're a cop"

I don't care about age as long as you're 18. After that it's just about how attractive you are. People die at all ages so it should only be about compatibility and attraction.

I used to think the same about over 18 but I feel there is a difference of mentalities after certain age difference among priorities and preferences that might lead to more conflict than actual compatibility. Sure for a hook up it might work but I feel in the end with someone 10 years younger than me at 18 things would be too different in mindsets and goals. Maybe after some years it works better but I find it hard to get with someone on their late teens and early twenties really.

I think you just need to be on the same page in life. Someone 18 is probably still into moving around or getting out there socially or sacrificing time to get a career and that is stuff someone older may be done with but as long as you both examine those big things and can reconcile it then you can stick together regardless of the exact age.

Sucks when you're preparing to get plowed so you clean yourself up all nice (you know what I'm talking about) and then your body decides it wants to take a crap lmao.

I got asked to be someones wedding date this summer and I basically told them it was a sweet gesture but I dont dance so unless they show me moves to follow with or they better find someone else before me lol

So yeah I Gave them fair warning. lol. I would've said a definite yes otherwise though

tbh finding clothes for something like that sounds exciting and fun
and a tad expensive :x

Yay, congratulations! Taking your dad with you is very sweet. I'm sure he's very supportive and very proud of you and the work you have done for your community. :D
He is supportive. Though it isn't imposter syndrome to say I haven't done very much. I am on a committee but hardly ever contribute. I want to do a lot more though!

And no older? :p (I know you don't mean that!)

Lol you can go without knowing how to dance. You can have fun mingling around or talking with the one who invited you. The clothing part might be the hard part but Im sure you may have something you can mix up to work for it but if you need to get a new outfit go for it but dont go too wild spending. (unless you got the coins that is)

From what you've said here on this thread, it seems to me like you have indeed done a lot.

this exactly..

it really depends on which situations you're more about in your life, if you meet someone who is in similar situations or that can understand where in life you are, then that is a potential person you can be with.

I always say it is just a matter of synchronizing with other people

RIP sexy time. Shower and clean yourself so you can get plowed.

So the consensus is that the age gap is okay. Does that make me daddy material?

Depends. My ex was only 2-3yrs younger and he called me
daddy
in bed.

Any and all situations can workout, even if you aren't on the same page in life. It's all about balance, but also willing to sacrifice. If you truly love someone, you find a way to make it work. My ex and I were always on the same page, and one morning he wakes up and decides "I'm not on the same place in life anymore" and that began our downfall. Its funny when outside sources manipulated him to the point where he believed it.

not trying to draw conclusions, but sounds to me like your ex wasn't willing to adapt the relationship with you anymore, which is devastating...

after all, I can be willing to do everything for a relationship, but ultimately it also depends on the other person, if they don't want to be here in this relationship, there is nothing that can be done, the bond will crack in the end.

what I said was more about starting a relationship, but on the course of life they can change drastically or be affected by many other things, it really depends on how prone are the couple to let the relationship be affected by events in life.

Also, hope you haven't given up on baking.
You should have seen my first attempts, Jesus... You're doing great already and in no time you'll switch to layer cakes, you'll see.
