No it wouldn't. FFXII is already much closer to a ps3 quality game than FFX, which even has some old school pre-rendered shit in it.

Agreeing with the "IX being more worthy of a remake" sentiment.

Same problem as FF7 (and 8, FWIW): All those static backgrounds are going to be a pain to spruce up to HD standards. It's a damn sight easier to make polygons look good in HD than 2D artwork.

Edit: Jeez, I hadn't thought about them having to remaster all the videos for FFX. That'll be a job. Maybe they've still got the raw data archived, though.
