Go and try Mario Kart 64 after having played MK DS. It's unplayable shit, just like going back to DD. And yes, the ****ing blue shells are shit, but they're avoidable and it's the only thing that helps other catch me! :lol

I still like the driving mechanics the best in this version. MKDS is great but the powersliding is dumbed down (compared to 64 but better then DD!) where you can't oversteer and can basically do an infinite slide. Also allows you to exploit the mini-turbo much more in DS then 64. In fact the track design is better in 64 too. The tracks are narrower which I like a lot better. DS's single player, framerate and amount of tracks top 64 version though.

DD! is just shite Some good tracks but boring racing mechanics and no hop!
