We have Contest of Champions' sales numbers. That's enough.I don't think we have enough info to say anything about why the art style is what it is.
I mean obviously, IJ2 looks great and proves that. It doesn't change the fact that Marvel likely dictated the look and Capcom just can't pull it off, maybe due budget, time constants or just being bad at it.

Do you folks have receipts that marvel dictated the art style or you folks just assuming that.

Nah, it's all assumptions given the similar artstyles in Marvel games.Do you folks have receipts that marvel dictated the art style or you folks just assuming that.
Yeah, at this point it is what it is. It still kinda bothers me, but I've accepted our fate. While I'm not a fan of the artstyle, it doesn't really bother me as much anymore.
Well, that and Game of Thrones I think? There's also the fact that the only Telltales game that doesn't have their trademark cell shading is their Marvel licensed game.
Well, that and Game of Thrones I think?
EDIT: Actually, does Batman tTTs also use cell shading?
Yup, it's why there's suspicion that MvCI's art style was Marvel-mandated.Yes.
Telltales GotG has a different artstyle from the rest of their games.
Some porn for Rhaknar (NSFW):
I really don't want to have to manage two characters. Almost all of the stones are unappealing to me because they bring on stuff like custom combos or new setups. I hate labbing that stuff. Just give me something that helps my general gameplay.
Between the artstyle and all Marvel characters having their themes changed, I think it's a safe assumption.
I really wish they didn't mess with the themes, though. That actually sucks.

I don't know why Capcom refuses to tone down or disable the chromatic aberration. It doesn't look good at all.

in SFV, player 2 still can't rematch/go into character select in offlline versus.I look forward to them adding the option to remove it 1.5 years later.
It has been but I still think they should tone it down further.I thought it was toned down quite a bit?
I don't disagree.
Some of the textures do look pretty nice, though. It's just hard to tell with some of the filters they're using on top of it negating them.

It needs to go completely.
It adds absolutely nothing to the game and only makes it worse:
It degrades the image (blurring the textures), causes weird coloring, and results in a blurry double-image effect that gives many players eye-strain, head-ache, and even naseau.
They want people to both play and watch this, and using chromatic aberration at any strength makes it both uglier and uncomfortable.
Even just straight up standard blurring would be better if they want to have a depth of field effect. Even though it ruins the resolution, at least it doesn't result in ugly/headache inducing color degradation or double image.
I wish UE4 just took this out of its toolset, because it's grossly misused.
Chromatic Aberration is in fact, an aberration, and it seems every fucking company loves to use it for some reason
Can't wait for the PC version to turn it off.

Yeah a simple toggle in the options menu even on console would be the best scenario so at least people have the choice. Fast Racing RMX on the Switch had an option for it, so I don't see why a game like this couldn't also have the option.
I'm confident we'll be able to turn it off on PC, regardless of whether it's in the options.you guys thinking the PC version will have such a toggle is super cute
save us modders

Unless someonehas the game on PC right now, no.Is there a way to show how MVCI would look if it did not have chromatic aberration at the moment?

Man, for some reason I suddenly really want to know how the Hunter plays.
I want Venom in the base game.
Did any Tyrant footage have thanos? Ah yes. Check Max and Tyrant's videos for Thanos play
