The most notable ones.

[NDS] Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 Professional (Square Enix) - 168.740 / 454.063 / 37,16% 31/03/11
[NDS] Kirby Mass Attack (Nintendo) - 70.765 / 245.397 / 28,84% 04/08/11
[NDS] Gyakuten Kenji 2 (Capcom) - 134.760 / 200.530 / 67,20% 03/02/11
[NDS] Battle & Get! Pokemon Typing DS (Pokemon Co.) - 50.580 / 120.843 / 41,86% 21/04/11
[NDS] All Kamen Rider: Rider Generation (Bandai Namco) - 45.114 / 83.591 / 53,97% 04/08/11
[NDS] Devil Survivor 2 (Atlus Co.) - 62.246 / 80.353 / 77,47% 28/07/11
[NDS] Puyo Puyo!! 20th Anniversary (Sega) - 37.590 / 79.267 / 47,42% 14/07/11

Thanks. Pretty pathetic, gotta say (in quantity, not quality). I'm sure PS2, PSX and Super Famicom had way better final years. DS has gotta be the sharpest successful console decline ever right? From a bangin 2010 to this.

Yeah I'd chalk it up to a lot of major 3rd party developers migrating to the PSP and it having a pretty sizable boom as well as Nintendo deciding to basically kill off the DS so that the 3DS could succeed.

MW3 saving the UK. Who will save Japan?

Obs.: UK software sales include physical units for PC, which are about 3.5 million so far this year.

Retail releases from Nintendo for DS in 2011: 2 - Mass Attack and Pokemon Typing (not that 2010 was so much better but it had Black / White). Nintendo wanted to kill DS immediately in Japan and after the bad start of 3DS it seems to be the correct move.

GBA had a much smoother transition for being a less succesful system. After DS launch almost 140 were released for GBA and a hardware revision. After 3DS release DS is currently at 60 titles with support almost dead from most companies.

DS seems to be having a slightly better 2011 than GBA had a 2005, but it's coming down from significantly higher.

And I set the GBA max to the same, so the heights would be to scale:

Depends how we look at it. Units in general, or percent decline from peak? Years from launch, or year of replacement? And so on. But going from launch, DS 2011 is like SNES 1997, which would've had some pretty big competition--N64 launched the previous year, PS1 finally broke out with FF VII, and GB was seeing its Pokémon resurgence. I don't have a good grasp on PS1 software of 2001, but it did have over 4 million software sold just from the 16 games that made the all format Top 100. PS2 definitely had a better 2006 and 2007; 2008 was its return below 10M/year.

Deadline, a day earlier than usual because releases are also a day earlier. I'm enforcing the deadline btw (there was 1 outside it last thread).

Famitsu provides PC sales and (I think) you get access to them only if you subscribe at f-ism.net, not picollo.

There are PC weekly top 30 available.

How about just overall annual unit sales, have they publicly released those before?

They give an annual report in White Paper and if they follow the home console / handheld structure at PC weekly reports they give the amount of units sold every week there too.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 3rd Week - 108pt

If it follows last week ratio Comgnet / actual thousands sold, it would mean a third week of 60k.

But the ratio last week increased from 1.61 of the release week to 1.44.
And Galaxy 2 saw its ratio decreasing for the first three weeks: from 1.82 to 1.68 to 1.44.
If 3D Land follows the same decreasing pattern, this week the ratio would be at 1.23, and this would mean a 70k week.

There seems to be quite a stabilization for Just Dance and Kirby, and Slime Mori Mori came back in top20...

...Ninokuni...if it follows the usual ratio for PS3 RPGs, it should have done less than 70k in its first week :(

Gomgnet paints a somewhat bleak future for Ninokuni if your ratio mpl90 is any reliable basis. We would need the variance of the ratio (excuse my french) to pull more value of these indicators, but, hell, who cares. Ninokuni will tank and this is sad as fuck.

Based on Comgnet, is there any possibility to see MH3G rise past the 600k bar in its first week ?

They are based on the number of preorders games have received at a particular chain of stores.
I see, but is there any system to it? I mean, didnt i.e Tales of Xilia have around 600-700 points when it launched, and it did 500k+ in it's first week. Now i see that Modern Warfare 3 has 588 points, and there is no way that this game will do close to 500k in it's first week.

EDIT: I know that it is possible for store to order more copies that are sold of course :) But i dont think that the first shipment/order of MW3 is around 500k either.

Well pre-orders vary a lot depending on the kind of audience a game targets, so really, comgnet isn't the best way to predict sales... It can give a general idea of a game's performance but that's pretty much it.

Oh, so the Comgnet points represent customers who pre-order? I thought it was pre-orders from stores on how much they wanted to order in the first shipment.

COMG! is a retail chain in Japan. Comgnet is their website. We're talking about customers pre-orders in just one retail chain in all of Japan. It is not really representative of anything substantial.

Japanese Zelda has been released here today (Hong Kong). I don't think there is any reason to delay.

Okay. Yeah I thought it was weird, but he was so angry earlier I told him I'd ask around. I've relayed the message and now he's relieved, but mad at his friend.
