Amazing skill and talent brought together under such harsh circumstances. United by the deep passion that the ability to create can bring about.
The conditions of their country sucks so bad, that the work on such a profound bit of escapism is the reward in itself. Of course they'd like to have better conditions - but they appear to nonetheless appreciate and invest into the industry and jobs they find themselves in.
Man... VR is going to just intensify and elevate that magic of creation to the nth degree.
Spending all that hard work - but you're creating a literal world in which to inhabit (as opposed to looking through a window into). It's the ultimate edification for your hard work.

I didn't know Stalker was their game. Glad that I already have it on my steam backlog now. It also seems that I should get Metro LL sooner than I thought.
If only Jason was able to keep THQ alive... I have seen several videos of him when he went to visit naughty dog and he is the real deal especially being the co-founder.

Shame a dev team so dedicated got screwed by the 5$ ranger mode. It definitely turned me off from buying the game.
Very interesting, it's pitiful how rare stuff like this is. The irrational producer part reminds me of how Ubisoft allegedly handled the development of Heroes VI.

So who's working on that Stalker sequel Suvarium thing, if not the Stalker devs? Did they split half-way like Starbreeze (some of the seniors went to Machine Games and some stayed for Syndicate and now Brothers)?
