Dude he's all talk. After he found out that GSP wanted to fight in November he was perfectly fine with it and didn't want to take an earlier fight with anyone else so that his knee could heal or some bs.
All he's been doing is trolling the whole division and now it's time for it to come crashing down for him.
Yoel really doesn't feel like a fighter that would hold the belt for long, esp at middleweight. However he's a terrible matchup for Bisping. Too big, too explosive.
The only way I could see Bisping winning is if he let's Yoel chase him a bunch, as Yoel tends to gas in the later rounds. Bisping could win a point battle.

I think the fact Rockhold and other fighters atop that division were being a bit vocal and justifiably talking about taking some sort of action towards Dana may have swayed him. Bisping nor GSP isn't worth the grief from all the fighters at the top of the division

A challenger taking a title shot on short notice is not a sign of anything other than wanting a title shot. He had nothing to lose in taking that fight on short notice and everything to gain.
And winning that fight also has nothing to do with bravery or confidence.
Now if he was the champ and he came off a movie set with 2 weeks to train against a dangerous challenger, then you'd have a point.

Sad to see all the promotion go to the 2 championship fights followed by Yair and some Masdival. Maia has zero promotion, like none at all. Poor guy could win yet still not be next in line. Until Masdival proves it, he's a poor man's Carlos Condit and I expect to see Maia have his way with him because Masdival looks stupid enough to challenge Maia in a grappling match.
No one knows who Masvidal or Maia is.
Most of his finishes have been in round 3 though. Granted he's never fought in a 5 round match but Yoel has enough in the gas tank to get the job done.
He also got gifted a decision after Dan Henderson beat the ever loving fuck out of him. That was supposed to be a squash'em fight in Bisping's favor and he almost got finished twice by a broken 47 year old that was well off the TRT.
Bisping is only champion cause Rockhold let hubris get the better of him, and that'll be reaffirmed when Yoel sends Bisping to the shadow realm.
