Amazon and eBay sell the sticks individually.
Only way I would be okay doing this.
You can buy the sticks off amazon
You can get the sticks separate on Amazon/Ebay for pretty cheap.
Ok, thanks guys! This is good to know!

Kontrol Freeks are easier to install and won't void your warranty...just sayin'.
Is it as simple as just disassembling and reassembling ?
I want a DualShock 4 with the DualShock 3 sticks. That's all I want. The controlled would be perfect then. (Well, save the crappy battery.)

Now I need a way to replace the triggers.
This.
The Xbone sticks are smaller on the top.
I gotta say, i love both the ds4 and the X1 controller the same
But i just can't stand the no resistance of the X1 sticks, DS4 feels perfect in that expect, wonder if there's anything to do that could fix that?

Yes, the only complication I hear people having is putting the triggers back together, but that's just placing some small parts and not a situation where anything actually breaks.
I've seen a controller like this. It took a little more work, the results looked pretty good.
How can anyone like the DS3 sticks?I want a DualShock 4 with the DualShock 3 sticks. That's all I want. The controlled would be perfect then. (Well, save the crappy battery.)
Try the $6 Gel Tabz first. You keep the superior PS4 stick resistance, they're very grippy while also adding a nice (small) amount of height, and they protect the sticks from any damage.

Can I install the Xbox One controller bumpers on my DS4?
Still on the fence about doing this. I did get concave pads for the sticks. I noticed the xbox one sticks are a little higher. The pads also increase height, i was able to get use to it. Can anyone who made the modification go into a little detail about how the xbox one sticks feel and how they adjusted?
Would these still have the same resistance as the DS4 sticks and are there any XBO style sticks the same length as the PS4 sticks?
Can you do this with a DS2 and DS3 controller?
No, they won't fit. Nor can you use 360 sticks in the DS4.
Thanks, will give it a shot especially for that price. My left one started to get damage too so I can put this right over it right?

Link to those? Don't like messing with the innards

Honestly, I just put on some grips I bought from Amazon and there's no peeling problem + sticks are taller. Seems much easier to do than this mod.
The actual sticks were fine. It was the lack of resistance and the dead zone that stunk.
They were horrible. Concave... Why?

This is an excellent solution to the awful sticks on the DS4. Can't believe Sony is still silent about this problem... I wonder why?
Will the sticks from Wii and Wii U controllers work?
