I dont know, but i cnat feel the hype for this.
I think something is missing. = [
Have you checked your chest cavity lately to make sure your heart hasn't gone missing? Might wanna look into that!

This is what I don't understand,
Capcom turned around did a simulataneous release very early, but couldn't muster the strength to give Switch owners in America, MH XX, what the fuck Capcom, like I'll buy this luckily I do have a PS4 as well, but it isn't beyond the possibility for them, yet for years now they treated America like the red headed stepchild and made us wait for months if not a year for our version and suddenly they found the gumption to do it all in one go.
Not gonna risk exact numbers (I don't know these either), but it's closer to Tri numbers.
Nope, just know someone.
Lol please gtfo with this stuff, "My dad works for Nintendo" guy. If you can't provide proof, then you shouldn't talk like you know what the game entails.
4 months till release and they already almost exceed Tri's large monster count. PR for the game has barely started. You are wrong

I'm not going to post my source here publicly, as I said, any mod can contact me about it, you think I'm doing this just cause I like it?
Besides, "more like Tri count" isn't the same thing as "has only 18 large monsters." It just means it ain't vanilla MH4.

Besides, I have very little amount of info, I don't want attention, I just don't want people that are expecting 50 large monsters to be disappointed.
Idk what gives you the impression that PR has barely started, it's been in full swing for a long time now. It's been shown off at multiple events and we already have weapon preview videos, 3 separate trailers, and extensive games media coverage.
Blizz has been accurate on things surrounding this game so far, don't dismiss it because you have the hype blinders on.
I can understand less than XX as that was a "collection" game regarding monsters, where they threw in everything they could, as it was more about content additions, not contextual gameplay additions.
But World having Tri-ish numbers of monsters...is that small? Like, I don't mind in the end, but that comes with the catch that I expect G Rank as DLC, and hopefully we get XX later in 2018 as a more "you want more MH jazz, here, in English" sort of thing.
Most people do, so I apologize I come off rude
Monster Hunter PR always has consistent trailers 5-7 months prior, yes, but Famitsu coverage, demos, and more don't start till roughly 3 months or so before. Check how MH4 or Tri was done.
If you can give me proof of his accuracy, I'll gladly eat my own words and shut up.
I would be glad if you're source of information is wrong too and I hope it is because I just posted a few hours ago that I hope that we don't run into Tri like numbers situation again because all the Monsters have to be made from the ground up without having the ability to asset flip some of their previous Monsters effortlessly. No problem man, I'd be glad to be wrong (still hope I am), but yeah, not huge numbers of monsters and you can count the large returning ones with your hands, that's all the info I have, nothing very new and anyone could get to that logic.
Very true, we'll see what happens. No problem man, I'd be glad to be wrong (still hope I am), but yeah, not huge numbers of monsters and you can count the large returning ones with your hands, that's all the info I have, nothing very new and anyone could get to that logic.

Like Blizz says it's likely not exact Tri numbers (~17/18 large monsters). We are already at 14-15 large monsters, with biomes like a snow or volcano map not at all revealed yet. Usually 5-6 maps is a given for any new MH game so im assuming these are at least the last 2 not shown. I'm going to assume roughly 30, which is not bad considering the massive jump this game has gotten. Maybe there is a surprise and it goes up closer to 3U numbers (roughly 50) if subspecies/rares/deviants/variants of returning monsters still exist in the game initially.

well fuck
hopefully DLC adds more zones and monsters then geez
i guess i have to eat a bit of crow from my optimism?
Im still hyped but i thought the 50 number wasnt out of left field based on precedent
I suppose 30 large is a more reasonable assumption for now?
More reasonable than 50 large yes.
Hmm... If they expand on the movesets for the monsters, 30 is pretty reasonable. The fact that the weapons have gotten so interesting with the new additions makes me not mind a smaller large monster count.
This isn't always the case, RE6 wasn't a great port around launch, though it's most probably will be a great pot. The game while beautiful doesn't look like it's pushing boundaries technically and the only thing that looks really impressive is the amount of stuff going on at the same time and that's only by what you expect on consoles with ancient CPUs. Not sure about 4K/60fps with a GTX 970 though. ;pSince MHW is on MT Framework, expect the PC version to be optimized perfectly and be able to run the game in 4K/60fps on a GTX 970
I'd be fine with 20 monsters if they were all of good quality. Tri had a better roster than FU because even tho it had less monsters they were all immensely enjoyable to fight.

It's debatable to say if Tri's had a better rooster compared to Freedom Unite (In my opinion FU's number of Monsters far outweighs the increased "quality" of Tri's Monsters) but to me Tri is easily the worst post PS2 era Monster Hunter game it had less Monster, less areas, less weapons, it introduce the much hated underwater battles (I was OK with them but I can see why people gate it) and the end game HR grind fest to gain the privilege to fight more Monster didn't do it any favors.
Tri had it's fair share of poor monsters like Rathalos, Diablos, Jhen, Uragaan, and Ceadeus.
I love tri cuz
- it was pretty
- had cool upgrades
- great monsters like deviljo, lagiacrus
But yeah definitely not the peak game of its generation. That title belongs to portable 3rd
Seems very story heavy :/
lol why is this a bad thing?
Fluffy bat looks amazing!
Ugh, could the voice cast be any more generic? Roger Craig Smith, Matt Mercer... Never heard them in the same game a billion times before...
Just need Laura Bailey and Troy Baker to get this even more stale.
I'm pretty sure Laura Bailey is in, too. The charge blade trailer chick's voice effects sound like her.
Yes, I know I can do MH mumbling. But still.

Just preordered this on psn. Not sure why release date says 3/30/2018 though.
Because story in previous games have always been bad and just wasted your (my) time.
Not 4Us lol. It was the most interesting it's been ever
How dare you imply that Jay Leno isn't the best monster.
Mini Uragaan is also amazing.

When he gets into a roller derby loop I fall asleep. And oh god, that special zone in the volcano map in 3U...Dung bomb'd him out of there every time for that stupid time waster roll around the world move. Monsters with time waster movesets are my least favorite thing in the series.
Trailer reminds me of Lost Planet 2 story mode
So far:
1- Great Jagras
2- Anjanath
3- Nergigante (flagship)
4- Rathalos
5- Rathian
6- Barroth
7- Diablos
8- Jyuratodus (Mud-sioth)
9- Kulu-Ya-Ku (stone raptor)
10- Pukei-Pukei (chameleon monster)
11- Mountain elder dragon thing
12- Narga x Lagia cross bread thing
13- Fluffy bat thing
14- New Jaggie cousin thing
15- Moth dragon thing
Another 10 to 15 monsters would be great, and unlike Tri, this one will probably get a G-rank update eventually. Tigrex and Nargacuga better make it though.

I meant World would be getting it in the form of an expansion, and, you know, the part where you don't have to buy a new console for it! If Tri got updated with more monsters people wouldn't be remembering it as the content draught MH game it was.3U is Tri's g rank update, but they revamped the game MUCH more than an ordinary g rank update. It's basically p3rds G rank update as well
