Just watched his presser, but Draymond has to be the most severe gap between kinda grating on court persona and super likable off court persona I've ever seen. The classic NBA heels always tended to be consistent assholes, but Draymond is pretty endearing when he's not barking at the refs and kicking dudes nuts.

Curry is the better player and arguably was more important to winning this series (one Warrior was facing constant doubles/traps, and it wasn't Durant), but you can't deny the box score numbers and big shots that Durant put up. Durant for sure deserves the award for these five games.
Durant is the best player on GS

After watcging this season, it's pretty obvious that Durant benefits from having Curry more than Curry does Durant.

Yea, I knew Durant would win the award early on. The numbers are absolutely staggering and undeniable. I just think there's a big reason for that that people don't acknowledge enough.

It's one of those things that could only be proven to many people by watching how GS performs with Curry injured and Durant having to play without him. We know how GS plays without Durant. Just fine. They ring easily last year if Dray doesn't do the dumbest thing in NBA Finals history.

I think a lot of teams could beat that offer with better and more certain draft picks.

I guess it just depends on how much you value Love. He's still young and a really good basketball player.

They would not be the favorites.

Why not? Their biggest problem this series was defense. Replacing a below average defender with an elite defender makes a huge difference. Also, George is another playmaker that can rebound and start a fast break.

With Kyrie and LeBron and the shooters they have, they showed they can put up enough points to win. Having another elite wing defender to throw at Durant and to switch pick and rolls would significantly improve their ability to defend the Warriors.

Ngl, I loved the way the Warriors played tonight, even if it was flawed at certain points.

Also, amazing to see the salty Bronstans out in full force on twitter/social media lol.

I disagree. If the Cavs had Paul George they would have the best player and 3 of the top 5 players in the series.

If you could somehow swap Love for George straight up, yeah this is probably a pick em series. Problem is you can't swap Love for George straight up unless the Indiana brass collectively goes yolo fuck the bay.

The same Wizards that paid Brad "unable to olay more that 30 min a game because he stay hurt" Beal so so much money?

The same Wizards that are on the same plane as the Hawks in terms of being ain't shit?

The same Wizards with Ernie fucking Grunfield at GM?

Nope

1. How

2. Nope

3. Nope

The Wizards with Wall and Beal having their healthiest season in a LONG while, and what would be the 2nd and 3rd best players in the East.

Rockets yup, but no duh he stays away after the disastrous 2016 season

OKC you forget was given a verbal agreement by Horford to join if KD went back there.

Can't the Cavs trade Love plus future draft picks to get him? If you're Indiana you pretty much know George is leaving in a year. So getting an all star with multiple years left on his contract and future draft picks would be a pretty good haul for a rental.

I find that hard to believe after watching this season. The effect Curry has on his teammates, even in a "down" year, is unbelievable. Including Durant, who has never played this well in his career.
KD is way better easily. he actually plays defense and doesnt get shut down when opponents play rough defense on him.

I'd rather see George on the Spurs. Man that perimeter D would be something to witness. I'm sure the Spurs are looking at their options with LMA plus some of the young guys, but his trade value is low atm because he keeps demonstrating he can't handle big moments in the playoffs.

Hard to see CP3 leaving LA behind to come and live in San Antonio lol. I live here, too. Property is cheap, though and there's no income tax...so the money lost if he comes isn't nearly as large as many are making it out to be.

It's still the Wizards

They the Hawks except above the Mason Dixon line
Rockets...nah. he with yall and yall don't get to the finals
Horford, KD, Brodie...nah

Also holy shit Paul Pierce has become one of my most hated players so fucking quickly, such an asshole on TV.

Dude loves to shit on LBJ. You can tell ESPN/ABC or someone told him to chill on it after first couple of Finals games. It's quite obvious how much he despises the dude. Guess LBJ did screw the Celtics out of more possible rings with his move to Miami.

Love makes no sense on the Pacers because his window doesn't align at all with anything they would be trying to do. Those draft picks would either be years out or late first rounders. Indiana has forfeited their best possible haul for him by this point, but he can still fetch at least one guaranteed lottery pick which is more valuable than anything the Cavs have.

george is not enough if you get rid of love, they need to match the 4 players from GS.

It's a team sport. You don't play one on one with each of the top 4 players. LeBron and Kyrie have both been fantastic against Golden State. Love was terrible last year and was extremely inconsistent this year. George is a more consistent player offensively and miles better defensively than Love. Love is really good, but he's not a great fit in a matchup with the Warriors. George is matchup proof. He's good against anybody.

A future Cavs pick could very well be a lottery pick. And how high in the lottery are you talking? If Boston offers 1 then of course that's a better deal than Love and an unknown future pick. But if it's outside the top 5? I'd rather have what the Cavs can offer.

Honestly, asides from maybe Wilt and Jerry West (and that was more relative to their era), Lebron is honestly in the conversation for greatest finals opponents of all times. At least 3 of the teams he faced (2014 Spurs, 2016 Warriors, and 2017 Warriors) have legitimate arguments for GOAT team, and he's never really had a blow-over finals series. Fucking ridiculous.

The one time and he blew it! The West have been producing great teams for a long time now though, you're right.

KD is way better easily. he actually plays defense and doesnt get shut down when opponents play rough defense on him.

Curry does play defense, just not as well as Durant. And Durant didn't face tough defense in this finals (relative to Curry). He was usually single-covered, at times by Richard Jefferson.

Regardless, they're both neck-and-neck with Kawhi for the #2 spot behind Lebron.

People don't talk about this enough as well. Before GS became the GS we now know, the 2014 Spurs were looked at as one of the greatest teams of all time with maybe the best Finals performance ever.

He's now 3 and 5 in the Finals, but two of the teams he beat are considered some of the best teams ever assembled. It did take some really crazy luck to beat those Spurs and Warriors, but he got the W's.

And if we bein honest, he'd be up 2-1 against the Warriors if Love and Irving were healthy on the first battle. He took em to six with Delly on life support and JR bein JR

That 07 Finals against the Spurs is worst he's done in the Finals and he avg'd 22/7/7 against prime Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, and the all dirty MVP Bruce Bowen. LBJ had Big Z, Booby Gibson, Varejao, and Shannon Brown.
