Man, those Shovel Knight glasses are god damn fantastic. Kind of jealous.

And I actually have something to share too for the first time in a long time. This just arrived, which I'm pretty sure was prompted by a Wario64 tweet.

Here's how it stacks up to the other art books I cannot bring myself to open:

Oh man, open those books homie! Art should be appreciated! Although I have to admit they do look kinda sexy all together and minty fresh like that.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

First Call of Duty game I ever bought. But for £20 including a steelbook even my cheap arse couldn't resist. And from what I've seen the game seems pretty good.

This post is really playing catch-up from December, so forgive me.

Got two new systems under my roof. The Wii U's actually one I imported from Japan back at launch, but I got my parents to send it to my apartment as a Christmas present. I guess the Wii U's come home now, from to Japan to New Zealand and back again. :p

Also got an Xbox 360 off of Yahoo Auctions. I used to have one of the loud and obnoxious original model 360s, but I left that at home. I've always wanted a slim 360 (and I'm really happy with the size and quietness), and I got it in white to match the rest of my systems (I accidentally got myself into a theme). The Kinect I could give or take, but the white slim model only came bundled as a 4GB + Kinect model over here. Luckily, I found an auction with a 250GB HDD already installed. Been nice to have a 360 again, and I'm not quite ready to take the plunge on a One just yet. Maybe when they release a slim model.

Again this is backed up from December. You can see a couple of impulses I had running here. Bought all the PS4 Ryu Ga Gotokus in one swoop (the next week, a cheap rerelease of RGG0 was announced), and I bought a few Visual Novel games, too (Last Window, Another Code R, Time Hollow and Steins;Gate).

Dishonored, Until Dawn and the 2TB HDD were Black Friday buys from Amazon US. Really enjoyed Until Dawn! Speaking of Amazon, I spotted brand new copies of Rule of Rose being sold by Amazon JP for around 6000~ yen. That game's worth more opened, so I snapped it up. Guess I'll be keeping that sealed.

I already played L.A. Noire on PS3 back at launch, but I saw the 360 version for 500 yen and thought why the heck not. I needed something to christen my new 360 anyway.

Picked up Panzer Dragoon to go with my previous purchase of PDZ (and copies of PDRPG and PDO back home). Love that boxart! Sonic Jam's a game I've been wanting for a while. I could have gone with any one of the numerous pack-in rereleases, but I went with this one because you can't deny that boxart, and the Saturn controller's the perfect stand-in for the Megadrive controller. Not pictured, but I also got my parents to send me my Framemeister, so I've been enjoying some RGB goodness with my Saturn.

The only other game I haven't mentioned here is FFI&II. I used to have II on PSP, but I didn't like the way they smoothed the sprites. I found a good deal on the GBA version, so I grabbed it.

Also bought a bunch of digital games, too. I won't bore you all too much, but the highlights include The Witness, the PC port of Final Fantasy VII, Tales from the Borderlands on PSN, Mother 1, 3, and Super Mario Advance 4: SMB3 for the Virtual Console, Undertale on Steam, and for Ukrainian Windows 10, I bought Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Got some new games, most of which were last month pickups I forgot to post.

And my best pickup in a while. I got a redtop SR20DET complete swap. Its in pieces but its all there, and there's some good aftermarket parts in there too. Sold my ATV I never rode and got all this plus cash in return.

Dude! Is your S13 KA still?? Nice pickup!

Built my first PC for work this week. Ordered all the parts last week, was a fun process and as an Apple guy, I'm really loving Windows 10.

I also had to give up my Jeep for a family van. Wife is due with our second in July, and being 6' 4", the car seat arrangement made this as necessary as it was inevitable. Went with the best of the best as far as vans go, with a 2016 Honda Odyssey, that we will probably have for a least a decade.

The lack of Digimon Cyber Sleuth in this thread is making me sick:

Picked it up on Tuesday:

Both arrived in the mail today:

Big update, this is a few things from around Christmas until now.

24794863136_08c898ce2f_o.jpg

AWD deal, perfect condition.

24525598420_f9cea34958_o.jpg

(Digital) Very good.

24453478689_d71516b471_o.jpg

I got this free on X1 with Fifa, but my son was pestering me too much, so I grabbed a code for it for 360 as well. He won't stop playing it.

So, non-gaming content. Most of the tools are going to be used in making the new bookcases for my media (games, movies, books). This final semester is rough, so I still haven't gotten started yet.

Festool OF1010 router and accessories. Got this to better trim wood edging on the plywood for the bookcases and anything else.

24794863236_9bae3af0b2_o.jpg

Bosch 12v driver set. Got this to more easily get in tight places. Just arrived today.

24821122135_5d1caa1262_o.jpg

Some Narex rasps and a Veritas burnisher. The burnisher sharpens card scrapers, which helps with getting a smooth finish on wood.

24821122095_3d93e5d1c4_o.jpg

Veritas router plane. This gets you consistent grooves, helpful for fixed shelves, etc.

24821122085_bed0985234_o.jpg

Bessey F-clamps. Home Depot had a really good post-Christmas clearance on these.

24794863166_7d196598b3_o.jpg

More HD clearance. Bessey spring clamps, and two quick-release respirator masks. For my kids, when they want to help out in the shop. Also, another Incra T-rule (18").

24794863206_963bfac1c3_o.jpg

Fastenal container with a bunch of square (Robertson) drive screws. BIL works for them, so this is the gift that keeps on giving, the whole year round.

When I start the media storage build, I'll post about it over in the setups thread.

I like Macross. I wish we got more Macross. Damn you Harmony Gold

Btw, the PS3 Game, Macross 30 is a wonderful game. And despite the language barrier, is easy to play

How has nobody commented on this yet. Not everyday you find a sealed TG16. Congrats I'm jealous

Very nice! I keep meaning to pick both of those up...I've read and heard great reviews about the 27mm. Enjoy!!!

The 27mm is real nice, but the AF is pretty poor. It's kinda an issue with the camera itself, but it seems worse than normal with it. Other then that, it's superb.

I'm not a real collector of Plush but when I went in to get my Mew code today at EBGames I saw these and had to have them.

My amazing birthday haul (lol)

Megadrive handheld was very unexpected, but cool. Definite best of the bunch are the monogrammed tie clip and the Lovecraft collection, infact, the latter is so nice that here is another picture
