Cocaine 80s = R&B.
Drake too. I'm joking about Drake tho, kinda. But Cocaine 80s is DEFINITELY R&B. I don't even know how theres any confusion about this.
Instrumental Hip-Hop is still hip-hop.

lmfao leave the dude alone man, he got enough shit in the general AOTY thread haha

Also: So does Cocaine80s fly or not according to official rules? Hard even categorizing that stuff, but I would say it's closer to R&B than hip-hop.

If enough people think it fits in as hip hop, then I'd say it's ok.

I say put whatever album you damn well like in your top 10. You wanna put some country/classical/funk/yodeling hybrid with only vague hip hop influences, go right ahead. And if someone gives you shit for it you stab em right in the fucking throat and scream "fuck your swag".

My thoughts as well, especiallly since the 'slashies' wont have an impact on the contest at large.

Especially when that backpack is full of PBR cans, notebooks of poetry, old school discmans with giant skullcandy headphones, and 8 different beanies.

I really need to listen to that Slim tape. I heard a couple tracks and liked it, but kinda put it to the side.

I got till Jan 14th? Whew, was worried I would only have a week or so for a list.

P.S. Blackace, that E-40 album you have listed, would that be a good album for a person who has never listened to E-40 to start with?

P.S. to Macca, :( you left out my picture in the XXXmas lol.

Shit I totally meant to put E-40 in my contenders list, don't know what happened there. I really enjoyed Overtime Shift.

I'm lazy, so I don't have a full list.

The 2 biggest disappointments are easily Lasers and Radioactive. I saw Lasers coming to be honest. So that made it just a little less painful. I couldn't have seen Radioactive being so poppy. Should have though, with the Shady label.

I believe both of them have it in them to release good albums, but the poppiness needs to stop.

I gave him a special mention in my gaf hop post. Although it was a bit of a backhanded compliment. Deservedly so.

man, i really wanted this one in my top 10, but if im being honest, it didn't get as heavy rotation for me as the others. i still bump snake pond & a few tracks here and there, but nothing like some of OB4CL2 or No Said Date got.

also, i gotta ask: past All black everything, what were your favorite tracks on Lasers?

I keep thinking Doomtree is some mythical troll from Evergreen state college

Shinobi takes it further. If it has raps but has a slight influence from another genre, it aint hip-hop. To him, Drake is hip-hop, but The Roots are not. Mind is full of fuck regarding that.

Again, I like how everyone disregarded my Z-ro example, because you know I'm right. Don't make something so simple, complicated. This ain't simplified Chinese. Anyway, dead subject is dead. Deader than a hooker in Bangkok. I'll make my list later on the day.

Err. You meant to say Lil Lody right? I don't think Shawty Redd did any tracks on it. Looking at the CD booklet right now.

Yeah, it's gonna make my top ten. Just Like That did cement Drumma Boy as my producer of the year. It's the most important track on TM103. What a way to start the album. It just sets the tone, and caps off an incredible year for Drumma.
