Yeah I watched this back in January. Definitely my favourite Arnold flick. I might take part in the discussion after everyone posts their thoughts but it's too early for me to rewatch this one.

Total Recall is the first movie we have on here that I've already seen. I've seen it half-a-dozen times or so. Verhoeven is an interesting film maker, that I don't really see the the big deal with. Neither this nor Starship Troopers or Robocop is something I hold in high regard.

So, what do I think of Total Recall? It's tricky. My favorite author of all time is Philip K. Dick so I have a weakness for anything Dick. This takes the basic concept and actually makes it as stupid as it portrays Arnold. Which is smart. But at the same time it just looks so ugly.

I recommend the book, actually. It's better in both concept and execution.
