new DmC CG Trailer

I'm pretty sure the Night Club is Mission 13. Since bosses are their own mission, that would mean we've seen up to Mission 14.

That would make sense as
The demon baby would be the next missions fight, then a mission to serve as a bit of exposition before mundus, then the giant mundus fight, then another mission to get to kat, then the vergil heel turn, and a final escort mission to get kat out of hell

Pure speculation, but thats close enough to how I think this game will play out. Its not exactly multilayered writing.

I don't see the part where Dante meets up with OG Dante to take on the Nephilims who power up time machines with the tears of a thousand children.

Dante is a demon hunter by trade. It makes sense to me that not every mission he takes is going to be life or death. The Order of the Sword was a walk in the park for him and it should have been.

That's probably spot on. Bosses being their own mission kind of cuts down on the expected content. You're looking at 14 missions + 6 boss fights.

I thought the trailer was terrible to be honest. How awesome would it be if you think you are Dante but then the "real" Dante appears. Yeah.

The simple way to tame DMC4 dante is to make his demonic side have its own personality, that threatens to take him over if he uses it. In none of these games is an exploration of what exactly would be the side effects of having the incredbile strength of a demon, in a half human body. It's also why nero pissed me off so much, because throughout his story there are hints that the devil bringer isnt all peaches and light for him, but it get thrown to the side in favour of KKKKYYYYRRRRIIIIYYYYYEEE!!!!!

Goodness, am I the only one who would be mad at such a tiny number?

also: random note about Nero

his Devil Trigger is the best in the series because it is a Stand

I love the Stand DT.

Nero is unique from Dante/Vergil, he is not half demon he is more like a quarterling. He doesn't have enough demon blood in him to actually transform into a demon completely but he can still access it through a devil arm.

If they ever bring back Nero they need to expand on the Stand DT by allowing him swappable forms of DT mapped to D-pad. Now that would be some boss shit.

They also never bothered to explain why it was Vergil's DT in appearance, or why Dante himself didn't seem the least bit curious about it.
He was using the Devil Trigger of Yamato. Yamato is a Devil arm after all. It seemed like part of Vergil's soul was inside Yamato and that's what is manifesting. Vergil's own blood manifested the form, that's why Nero could access it but Dante couldn't.

Dante wasn't curious because he apparently figured it out rather quickly and that's why he gave Nero back the sword. He makes the comment about having the sword "stay in the family" and that's like a big clue right there, he meant it quite literally.

It would be fine if they were 6 great bosses. Thing is we already know Poison and Bob Barbas are pretty weak. The Hunter looks solid though so here's hoping.

The trailer. I personally thought the music was pretty good for it. Not DMC music and I would get tired of it quickly but fitting for this game. Prototype vibes again.

It was graphically awful and I don't see bad ass no matter if it is to help out people and they don't see it. I just see someone's bad idea of what is cool.

Bank Manager: Oh shit! It's Dante!
Dante: Yeah, btw, my name is Dante. The only person that does this kinda shit. You might have seen me on TV or slapping soda cans out of kids hands in the street. I'm very subtle though. You might not have noticed.

Where are we getting this 6 boss number from?

There was a new boss shown in a recent video. Is that the Mundus/Lilith spawn? We can safely assume AT LEAST 6 bosses in the game:

Hunter, Poison, Bob, Lilith Spawn, Mundus and Vergil. Beyond these nothing is confirmed though.

I played the demo, I liked this trailer.

I came to a revelation that I am this games target audience. Casual players who like Devil May Cry, but didn't like the intricate skill curve in the game and it's shortness for replayabilities sake.

It really sucks for hardcore fans, but they have to understand the reasoning behind the severe casualization.

The night club boss is Lilith's baby. 6 seems like the right number based on what we know of the mission layout and the achievement list.

No. The reasoning is shit. Casuals enjoyed DMC 3 and 4 just fine. Those millions of players who bought the games aren't about to go do DMD speedruns.

Yeah, and it's those same millions of players who liked DMC3 and DMC4 on a casual basis are still going to like this DmC on a casual basis. Which is what some of us keep trying to tell people who respond that "nobody likes this DMC" cus the style system can be exploited or how jump canceling and enemy step have been simplified. Look at a regular dude who plays vidya games, you don't see them make jump canceling videos and edit them and post them as a youtube combo vid. They exist as people who learn a few things, a target combo or two, and mash buttons.

Yeah dude, the world outside of our neogaf hardcore bubble, then within that hardcore bubble another hardcore bubble of super dmc fans don't care about that.

EDIT: And most casuals couldn't get passed Cerberus...sooo...I wouldn't say all of them enjoyed it just fine.

Damn they fucked up the action scenes...lol
Oh and LHK I don't think the same casuals are going to buy this, they probably just looked at Dante or outright lost interest in the game from the reveal trailer and never came back.

Uh, well okay then.

Should've said "Name's Dante". "My name is Dante" sounds forced, out of place and lacks character in a supposedly stylish game.
