New gameplay video of RAGE (The Well)

Hit reactions do look very nice here. I still want meaty thuds when their bodies hit the ground; comes across as a bit weightless without.

because mad max only had deserts like 30 yeas ago or whatever and now every post-apocalyptic setting needs to look exactly like that!
This is the one thing Enslaved did right.

And yet YCS is dead...

I like the graphics. they're not as impressive as when the game was first shown because other games have come out since then with jaw dropping graphics, but it still looks nice. hopefully even better on pc.

my only problem is every single video its always the same enemy type :( i wanna see how good the AI is on some enemies wielding their own guns.

I get that, but how hard would it be to write in some form of an oasis or something into the narrative? They need to find excuses to liven up the palette.
Well, it's not like we've seen the entire game, or anything. Perhaps there are some green areas later on?

I wonder if the PC version will still be able to look like those early videos and screenshots.

You can tell that the graphics have taken a hit because of consoles, what a damn shame. Other then that, gameplay looks good!

Lovin it! double barreled looks fun!

Still, this is the PC version right? what's up with the pop-up menus? aren't there proper keyboard shortcuts for that.. also still not digging the boomerang, looks lame compared to the other weapons.

Hm, that's the first gameplay trailer I've seen for Rage that's actually interested me... I might have to pick this up. Is there any PS3 footage floating about?

And that would make even less sense considering where the people have decided to reside. But then again, I'm thinking and that's one thing I'm not suppose to do when it comes to post apocalyptic stories.

Getting more and more Quake 2 vibes from this. That's good. The shotgun looks almost the same in that perspective.

Looks like fun. I've always loved the feel of id games. The player character usually has a solid weight and the controls are tight, so I'm looking forward to blasting my way across the wasteland. I also like that offhand boomerang thing.

I'll be playing this on my gaming rig so I don't have any concerns about the textures or framerate. I trust id to bring the graphics for the PC version.

Glad there is another shooter that takes where you shoot the enemy into account, and not just either body or head.

EDIT: Mind control bolts? Oh snap. lol Quayola Quayons. I like how the music sounds like a big budget sci-fi/wasteland movie too.

id's done it again.
I am extremely impressed with the animations and the AI reactions overall. Looks like a shooter that won't end up being stagnant due to predictability as the AI dynamism will keep it fresh. YES.

I think it's very smart of ID to include bullet types with every gun in the game. This could easily become a new gimmick in shooters.

Agreed. I also love the vision tilt when you turn a direction. It reminds me of Prime's vertical tilt when you jump to the next platform.

I love it when devs incorporate nuanced features to smoothen out gameplay that other devs usually take for granted.

id you lost me with Doom 3. I've been waiting 3 years for this. Rage my body is ready...

What worries me most is that it has a Borderlands vibe. Will I feel like I've already played this?

From the coverage it would seem that it's something closer to Fallout but more shooting and a lot less questing.

Texture is all over the place. Environment looks good but objects (ei Well Control Panel) looks washed out.

Anyway, with all this trailer looks like a weapon porn. :D

It's yet another post apocalyptic world where nothing really has changed, things are just more brown. We got food. We got shelter, entertainment, electricity, economy and technology, tons of ammunition and weaponry to go around but the world has ended!

Edit: Oh, we got people wearing pads on their shoulders. That's all you need right there to be post-apocalyptic.
I love this post so much. Seriously, what's up with those stupid shoulder pads :/

Game looks impressive visually but the gameplay looks boring and uninteresting.

Hope this was an early part of the game and later on it will pick up.
