Mithos Yggdrasill said:No, I mean: the textures, the overworld, the objects, the constructions and the environments seem to be almost all derived from mechanism and they're not really part of the natural world. Banjo and Kazooie designs are also in resonance with this style.
Of course Banjo-Kazooie also had this element, but only in selected part of the game: Rusty Bucket Bay for example. But there were also Click Clock Wood, Freezezy Peak and Gobi's Valley.

Xapati said:The medieval screenshot pic (the one where Banjo is walking on the tightrope) doesn't have that mechanical vibe. That said, I like the mechanical vibe, and i love those vehicals. I just hope Banjo doesn't talk in his stupid voice again. Just have text, I don't need "warble gargle" sounds kthnx.
The characters will retain their classic mumbly chatter noises, rather than having full voice-acting.

Do not compute. Why Banjo should build a mechanical imitation of the Spiral Mountain?

But it's quite obvious, it has the size of Spiral Mountain, there is place for water, there are flowers, notes, and clouds!
Those could be fists of anger!! :|Mithos Yggdrasill said:And Banjo is sabotating it? He's happy to see the construction burning.
It's not burning, it's building!Mithos Yggdrasill said:And Banjo is sabotating it? He's happy to see the construction burning.
Rare said:Rumour Four: Banjo comes out of retirement to stop his home being redeveloped into tower blocks and malls.
To end the struggle, a capricious higher power engineers a bear/witch showdown through worlds of the imagination with Spiral Mountain's ownership deeds going to the victor.

I'm searching desperately to find the quote but someone from Rare said Spiral Mountain would be back but it'd look a little different.
Also, one of the "supposed" stories has to do with Banjo rebuilding his home. But I can't find the damn things!
Here's one part:

Rumour Five: War comes to Spiral Mountain, and Banjo becomes a reluctant leader.

de racebeelden zijn allemaal uit Multiplayer. Diegene die de screenshots heeft gepost had maar toegang tot 1 mulplayergame en de eerste stukjes uit de worldhub en 1 level: Nutty Acres
He's smiling. That smoke is from the mountain being built. I'd imagine it starts off with just no mountain, and that smoke is the exhaust from the machines that are building the mountain.Mithos Yggdrasill said:Oh maaaaan.. It's so confusing...
What. The. Heck.

This is definitely my favourite picture out of the bunch. Banjo being in that huge, circular mechanical dome totally gives off a Psychonauts vibe - from that level where you had to beat Napoleon in his little strategic board game.
That' singleplayer stuff is just... level 1? Can't wait to see some of the other singleplayer environments.sinnergy said:Found on a Dutch forum, old?

The racing is all from MP. The one who posted the screens had access to 1 MP game, and the first pieces of the worldhub and level 1: Nutty Acres.
That would be pretty awesome. Especially the building a boat to sail to the next island bit.Sean said:What I'm thinking/hoping the new gameplay concept is:
You collect blueprints and spare parts in the world (nuts, bolts, scrap metal, etc) which would be the traditional platformer part. And in order to get some of the better parts you'd have to win them by competing in races.
Then you'd use those parts to build a vehicle that would let you progress to the next area. So say you start off on an island, you'd build a boat to sail to the next island - or a submarine to go to a different underwater area, or a plane to fly to some high above area, etc.

Yes, exactly like DKC3. I made that comparison earlier, it was the first thing that came to mind when I saw that leaked plane shot in the other thread.Sean said:What I'm thinking/hoping the new gameplay concept is:

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=188729We'd like to point out that this isn't a Banjo kart racing game even though most of internet seems to think it is.
A spokesperson from Rare told us, "People haven't seen the half of it yet and we'd rather people wouldn't draw their own conclusions until Rare's had a chance to properly talk about the game."
Then bloody talk about it already.pswii60 said:
