Looking at this stat I would say Peralta has a better range and arm based on strength and accuracy. ESPN SS Fielding Stats
But I hardly seen Peralta play so I can't really comment. Defense is very hard to rate looking at statistics alone.

Yeah, you're not going to find out much about how hard a guy can throw from his fielding percentage :lol

But yeah, Peralta is well-known for his strong throwing arm--one of the best in the league. I'd say whoever did the ratings just didn't do his research. And nowadays it's easy--all you gotta do is watch some highlights from mlb.tv all access.
