Nothing was said about it, other than its resemblance to Mewtwo. Though since he's featured in the promo materials for the next movie, he may be either closely related, or an alternative forme of Mewtwo.

BELIEVE.

Not only he used dunsparce, but he actually won with it... wow.

And a Dunsparce evolution could be really cool in design. This mon is very... "interesting" to say the least. (i can see it becoming this huge horned dragon with blue motifs, it could work)
