Pokemon pikachu for tablets?
This is the video where that Pikachu is shown: http://www.nhk.or.jp/professional/2013/1028/movie/yokoku.html
It seems it copies the facial gestures.

That's certainly "unprecedented".

It seems that there will be some information on the NHK interview broadcast in Monday. If anyone can check to see if there are any other details on the article, it would be cool.
I find it incredible that the thought of a Pokemon version of Nintendogs didn't cross my mind until now.came for this, thankyou
This makes it look like a Nintendogs X Pokemon game, where you train, groom and raise your own pokemon. Maybe the facial capture/imitation thing is an extension of the feature in the original Nintendogs were you could teach your dog to recognise your voice and perform tricks on command. The white, featureless environment also reminds me of Nintendogs' original artsyle.
Nintenpokemon. Not only does it make sense, the sales potential is mind boggling!
Well, it certainly doesn't look like anything we had been expecting, that's for sure. I suppose there's nothing to do but to wait for this episode of Professional to air, to see if we actually get any firm info.
Siliconera has another, really interesting detail:
http://www.siliconera.com/2013/10/08/new-pokemon-game-starring-pikachu-development/
In a recent producers summary on NHK, they summarize the immense popularity of the Pokémon franchise that boasts a total sales figure of 4 trillion yen (roughly $41 billion) from all of the Pokémon goods, anime series, movies, and games.

The great thing about Pokemon isn't beating the league, it's showing everyone online that I did.
Nope. Mario is #1, Super Mario is #2, Pokemon is #3, apparently: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_video_game_franchises
These numbers probably don't take XY into account yet though.

1: Wikipedia is trash.
2: He's talking about "most valuable" - highest sales (or profits, but we can't easily gauge that).
3: Tetris is king. Over 100 million copies were sold. Between 2005 and 2009.On cell phones alone.
