If they think that this "Character Design" is looking good, they have to be out of their minds. It looks like the fairy Nvidia Techdemo with long blue hair, but worse.

Is that....Heavenly Sword 2?

Character design seems very similar, but I doubt Sony is willing to make another one, despite me being very interested in rest of the trilogy (that's right it was suppose to be a trilogy) story wise anyway.

That's the whole point of creating prototypes. You need assets that can be created and modified quickly. Nothing from these early stages will end up in the final game.

LOL at some of the reactions in this thread for this point exactly.

These are pretty much concepts, no?

I just wouldn't have shown anything until it's at least a somewhat finished model. No one's holding a match under their foot to show anything to the public yet.

hmmmmm, excited, It seems like a new IP, and I am very interested, I hope it is something with a great story.

Heavenly Sword was a very mediocre game that was praised because it was a PS3 exclusive during a very dry period. DmC and Enslaved were either terrible or forgettable.

I don't like them at all. Let them develop for the Bone.
Heavenly Sword was mediocre, but I had hopes for the sequel.

Enslaved had an amazing story, I liked it, neither terrible nor forgettable.

well for what its worth, I like the art direction.

I don't know what's going on here, but it seems interesting. I really enjoyed DmC (also Enslaved and Heavenly Sword, actually) so I'm always keen to see what Ninja Theory are up to.

Is it just me, or does every Ninja Theory game involve escorting a defenseless girl around at some point?

I don't recall that being the case in Heavenly Sword. Just seems that way due to Enslaved and DmC.

On that note, at least it isn't an existing franchise this time.

Unless the game's on the chopping block and their trying to stir interest in the community to keep the game going. Not insinuating this is the case or anything, but it does happen from time to time. Hell they may not even have a publisher yet and are fishing this out to publishers at the moment, and this move may be an attempt to show the pubs they're showing it to that people want it. Could be any number of things.

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.
FINALLY!

The sequel you were all demanding!

this looks terrible

Not much to go on here. On a technical level, it looks fine, if it were next-gen, the polygon count will just need to be pretty consistent with the rest of the assets to be pretty appealing. I like Ninja Theory, will be hoping for something new.

Are you saying you didn't like previous NT art direction, namely Talexi artwork?

This is the video i saw.

She sings in the whole video. Tameem said it is a Opera.

Edit : My post :
Im not quite sure about that. Well here are some informations about the Techdemo i saw.

First : 16th century england streets. Than a girl starts singing. Man notice her and goes to her slowly. - Cut - Both in an elevator. Background is a steampunk city. She stops singing. Kiss. End.

Could result in a game (would like to see this Opera) or could result in nothing. Tameem said its not a big thing yet and was just a test for next gen.

Whatever their new game is, (if it's not fucking mobile!) - day 1 sale for me on PS3 / PS4.
Anyone know if there's a higher res of that Dante one?

no, no, not saying that, their art direction is pretty damn good, I liked Heavenly Sword & Enslaved art direction, especially the latter, DmC art style was cool as well, though it didn't tick for me.

But this one is kinda different -for lack of better words-, I like this different fairy like art.

*Takes deep breath before entering thread.
*Confirms it's not a DMC game or a Strider game
*Breathes out sigh of relief

NT listing their publishing partners like that is a bit strange. Almost like they are trying to sell their tech demo to a publisher who might be interested in it. I guess if this is Capcom related we might see more at TGS.

Also I see explosive barrels in that last pic.. lol

If it were Capcom related, I imagine that Capcom would want to control the official leak of information.

Seeing how it doesn't appear DMC related and is hopefully a new IP altogether, I wish them luck in this endeavor.

So, seeing as how Ninja Theory has moved on and Itsuno is occupied with the Dragon's Dogma sequel... I'm guess the chances of a Devil May Cry game in the next 2 or 3 years are rather low?
