Nintendo and Vans making some Sneakers

Caved in and bought the Duck Hunt pair.

People are listing these already on eBay for 3x the price.

I'm totally expecting these to sell out when they go fully public.

The only thing I hate about buying them online is not being able to try them on to ensure I get the right size. Do they generally run small or large?

I find Vans fit very well and true to size.

My old Ferris vans however are a size up but fit as my actual size. These style vans fit true.

Cannot wait to receive these!

Where will they available? I've never ordered Vans before but I might be interested in picking one of these up. I'm guessing they're exclusive to the Vans online store.

From what I'm reading here they go on sale tomorrow online and maybe at select retailers for the US? If you have a Vans store near you I'd maybe call today and see if they are going to have them in store or anything.

EDIT:
On the Van's website.

I believe it'll update at midnight and they'll also tweet out.

Aw man it would be awesome if they went on sale at midnight. Means I'd still be awake haha.

Good luck!

I got lucky since I signed up for the early access. :)

Which ones are you going for?

No because it's pretty not Tetris pieces. It's the van stripe with an 8 bit look

D3HY28-HERO

I figured they were cleverly alluding to both. Though I guess technically any clump of pixels could theoretically look like tetris, since those pieces are effectively just collections of contiguous blocks. Pareidolia for video games!

I thought they were tetris blocks.

The dress is blue or white!

Update:

Those waiting for the launch in the UK, they will go live at 8am.

Select online retailers were allowed to launch early online (some random sneaker specialists, you can see on thedropdate's website) and they've largely sold out already.

Hope those who want a pair gets some. For once, I haven't missed out - bless early access!

Its live now

Zelda slip on only goes to 13 but I can fit 13 prefer 14 but I wont be wearing them that much I might as well get them

Thanks for the heads up. Bought the DK backpack, and shoes for me, my wife and my 2 kids... $275 total :-/. Hopefully they're the right size. Thinking about going to the store tomorrow to try them on.

Snagged the Old Skool ones, I wanna try and go to a store and grab the Zelda ones but I dunno if I should just order them here now while I can and hope they fit or wait. Cause when I called they said they had some in stock but couldn't tell me what all they had at the store. (Stupid people not being able to set them aside for me even though I'll be there when they open.) Only reason I wanna wait is because the lady said if you buy apparel and shoes they're doing some kind of collectible thing. And I don't really wanna buy 3 pairs of shoes....I might be buying 3 pairs of shoes...

The email I got from Vans says free returns online or at the store, so if you get the wrong size you can always replace them

Especially when I'd undoubtedly have to pay shipping on top of that and I don't even get to try them on or see how they look in person first.

Shipping's free for orders over $49 on the site, although your concern's still valid. I almost hesitated at first, but there are no Van's stores near me.

Well the shipping was free. As for trying them on, you can go to a Vans store and see there. They are pretty universal when it comes to feel. As for how they look, I'm right there with you. Worst case scenario is I have to return them.

That's the plan :-D My kids will be in school, so I'll just be trying my pair. I may also buy the long sleeve "Off the wall" tee. Its the most boring but its the cheapest. Haha.

I don't own vans but I do with nights and have a stir closer to me so I just made two big orders with shoes one size on one order and another size on another order. I'll see which one I am and return the wrong ones to my local store. I have no idea what demand is or will be like but I'd rather not miss out just to verify shoe size tomorrow sometime
