I don't understand peoples obsession with Nintendo and why you feel the need to personally congratulate them for having their stocks raise.

Stealth thread whine? C'mon, there are lots of reasons why people would be interested in this sort of news, not only for Nintendo, but for Sony and Microsoft as well.

I would say it is related to entering the 1) Chinese Market, and 2) Sony didn't announce anything that spelled trouble for Nintendo on September 19th.

If they are doing well we keep seeing more games from them. That's my reason. Someone else might be a stockholder. Do you go in threads about PS4 sales and ask the same question?
