Interesting. Did his happen with their 3DS app? I had not heard of that issue.
Then there's no point. Mobile is different enough that you can warrant making decidedly different styled games exclusively for it. You can't really do that with PC unless they're simple web games, or companion games (which again, would be better suited for mobile)
You're acting like it was the HW that prevented this. Nintendo could have made VC content fully BC if they wanted to, but they were too concerned with their 100% perfect emulation so instead of going with base emulator + roms every VC title is its own emulator + rom package
That's true I guess, I can't think of anything right now that would be a good PC games or apps that nintendo might be able to make.
But it's not all about the difference or the advantage one platform has, it's all about reach as well. It's a shareholder meeting so those people probably more interested in how they can get more $$. PC is untapped market by nintendo, if they can get something out of it then it's good for them.
the real question is 1st part, 2nd part is just an extra stuff that the investor want to say while he's on the mic I guessThese are the same question?

So is he asking about VC, or comparing software released during NES/SNES vs WiiU and asking how Switch will compare?
A3: Kimishima: Game devs flock to healthy hardware. Indies are booming. We plan to sell 10M Switches this FY; 13M by fiscal year end. contd
A3: Kimishima: Sorry to users who couldnt buy Switch. If 10M sold, more devs will jump aboard. Will also make Indie-friendly environment.
Q4: Nintendo stock is rising. 4 million yen needed for 100 shares. Can you split shares so 100 can cost 1 million yen?
Kind of a bizarre question. "Your hardware 30 years ago sold very well. How's your hardware today selling?"
They'll be relevant to Nintendo in 2017. Less so in three years.Indie-friendly environment sounds nice.

Stock splitting is valid measure, but some stockholders do not view that favorably. We'll look into it.
They were each in charge of debugging three Korok locations
yes, it's answered by kimishima btw, nstyles forgot to mention it in the tweet
He's right about that when it comes to splitting stocks.
Q5: Switch is emphasized as home console co-existing w/ 3DS. But new Pokemon was announced for Switch and I feel the environment has changed
Q5 contd: Where do you see Switch/3DS co-existing going? What are your thoughts on the Switch and successor for 3DS co-existing?
Oooh maybe now the semantics of what Switch is can be squashed
Oooh maybe now the semantics of what Switch is can be squashed
Nintendo is just trying to sell a bunch of hardware without cannibalizing each other even if the Switch will eventually overtake 3DS.
I imagine they won't say it, tho

A5: Kimishima: Switch can be enjoyed in diff. ways. No details on Pokemon Switch yet, so please wait for details on what kind of game it is
A5: Kimishima: 3DS will pass 70M this FY and we want to continue providing software for it. (contd)
A5: Takahashi: Switch is unique home console thanks to Joy-Cons. 3DS is already popular, so we will release more games for them
I wonder if they'll add some sort of 2 player mode or 2 player something to Pokémon Switch.
Q6: (stockholder question about what kind of games Nintendo should make)
A6: iPhone is 10 yrs old now; there are limits to enjoying games on touch panels. But also no new games recently like Wii Sports/Fit
Apparently this was actually part of the question. Answer incoming
