All the hots skins are butt ugly.
Except Genji's:

I doubt it's happening this week. Probably next Tuesday on the 23rd.Still no leaks? Are we sure this is starting this week?
Would make more sense as considering original release date etc.I doubt it's happening this week. Probably next Tuesday on the 23rd.
I think they're just clearing out last year's physical release.Looks like the price is $39.99. Leaked ads (such as Best Buy) are listing Overwatch in their weekly for $39.99 and sites like Amazon have already updated to that price point as well. However there's been no change in price to the base (non-Origins Edition) PC version which was always $39.99, least not yet. It'll be odd if PS4 and XB1 gets a $20 permanent price-drop but the base PC version doesn't. I'm guessing they'll just merge the Origins Edition into the base version and not change the price.

overwatch "events" are such a joke. a temporary gimmicky new playmode and then some new cosmetics which are primarily there to entice the micro-transactions spenders. for the amount of money they must make on loot boxes, the content drip since release has been terrible.

Have you even played the game? We have gotten 3 new heroes, several new game modes, three new maps, and a bunch of cosmestic stuff for absolutely free in a span of only a year. That is not a drip in anyway shape or form. Furthermore, the events have been a lot of fun without only a few misses. The game does not make you buy lootboxes, everything in the game can be gotten for free (with the exception of some pre-order and Blizzcon content) just by playing. They even listened to the fans and made it so you can buy event items with gold instead of only being able to get them in lootboxes.

The normal game is now 30 euros and I am on the fence. At the same time I really want to fully try it out in the free weekend.
I enjoy Paladins a lot and you'd think that would mean I definitely will dig Overwatch as well or perhaps even more but I think I'll wait. How much will this edition cost?
But if I see what the content is I'll probably be better off paying the 30 bucks.
Still though, compare that to something like HotS that gets a new character like, every month or something? And seems to have minimal event bound stuff (mounts and profile pictures from what I've seen). Not sure how often they roll out new maps though all I know is Hanamura was added recently.
Obviously, different types of games but HotS is pure F2P and has a steady stream of new stuff being added (including the recent 2.0 revamp) while OW is a full priced game that mostly seems to focus on the limited time events designed to get people to spend on boxes to increase the chance they get the thing they like.
Not saying the additions to OW aren't good. Ana is one of my favourite characters and Eichenwald is great now they've made it so you don't just have the single choke point on the first point. Just saying that if they wanted, I'm sure they could have done more. Also I know the model is different, OW gets you all the characters while HotS has you buy them with real money or in game money (or as a drop in a box now) so HotS has more incentive to make new characters because it gets people buying boxes and currency (much like the timed exclusive stuff in OW).
Inb4 1 free loot box for anniversary. The sad part is that is going to be true.
Which platform are you buying on? If you're buying on console the GOTY edition contains the same content that the game always had, so you're not missing out on anything if you buy the Origins Edition over the GOTY Edition. On PC it's a little different as it has both a base edition and the Origins Edition. So if you're planning on getting it on PC you might want to wait.
I understand what you're saying. But I can't call the amount of content we've gotten so far a "drip."

You get one free loot box with every event. For it to be a proper anniversary gift, they'd need to give you two!
Ehh please Blizzard dont listen to these guys. Do your own thing like always. You see what happens if you keep pumping out heroes biweekly (LoL). You should be glad that Blizzard takes their time. They also test very very many things. Did you know that Bastions ultimate was a landmine that killed everyone and wasnt be able to get target? That widowmaker and soldier were once one hero? etc etc
Stop demanding so much content. Most of you arent even able to play more than two characters good. Also the Overwatch team was small at the begining and they just hired more staff. It takes time to get into the groove.

Also the fact that they made HOTS and its doing so badly is just hillarious.
They need to revamp the whole HOTS matchmaking though. Its hilarious when the matchmaking is broken af.
You are playing e.g. in a team with level 500s against a team where the highest hero might be level 20.
Or you are playing against level 400s when you have level 2 in your team and you are the highest level with 60.

how embarrassing for you
Damn the elitist smug, lol.
Oh did I get you? But it's true, see all the people that have one god damn main and cant play anything else in ranked. Overwatch requires more in ranked.
Levels only indicate play time though. A solid level 50 with previous MOBA experience could be far more skilled than a level 400.

i don't even play ow anymore, i just think it's hilarious when an anime avatar turns his nose up at working adults who don't want to drop 10 hours a week to 'get good' at video games lol

Huh?
Biweekly-
adjective & adverb
1.) appearing or taking place every two weeks or twice a week.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Recent League of Legends champions:
-Xayah & Rakan (first dual release, support/adc combo): April 19th 2017
-Camille: December 7th, 2016
-Ivern: October 5th, 2016
-Kled: August 10th, 2016
-Taliyah: May 18th, 2016
Do people who can't even drop 10 hours a week really need more content in OW?
There was a time LoL champions released every two week, to compete with hon (before dota 2). He's referring to those times.
