126k for GTS.

The perception of the game is drastically more positive now than before the demo.

Good to see somebody else is also optimistic.:)

Gran Turismo - 44,000
Gran Turismo 2 - 115,000
Gran Turismo 3 - 74,000
Gran Turismo 4 - 253,000
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue - 108,000
Gran Turismo 5 - 269,000
Gran Turismo 6 - 55,000
When 5 Prologue has done 108k I expect sports to do more then that. At least 135k if not 160k I predicted Earlier.

Although amazon charts are not supporting me.

I think the switch userbase still skews heavily towards kids.
Family friendly Lego game sells best on switch.

Hasn't Nintendo already said that isn't the case? I think it leans towards people whoprefer those type of games, but I don't think they're mostly kids.

Heh. Making an inflated prediction now just so you can call GTS a "bomba" and tell us Sony is doomed later in the thread is not "optimistic".

Since we're all making predictions I'm going to go with 60k for launch week. Slightly up over GT5 but not a giant number since practically every new UK release has been down this year.

Mario's at 14 in the 2017 chart and been high up for quite a while.

In the current chart SMO is number 1, GTS is at both 3 and 4 for Steelbook and £4 cheaper versions.

Additionally there's the October chart, which is
Fifa PS4
Fifa XBone
SoW PS4
Mario Odyssey
SoW XBone
Dual Shock
GT Sport Steelbook
CoD PS4
GT Sport

Damn. I'm fully expecting SMO to be a hit in terms of sales. I can definitely see it being beating AC:O in that week, but we'll have to see.

It'll be competitive to each SKU and considering how poorly Xbox One games are selling this year it'll outsell it on Xbox alone I think but I'd be surprised if it outsold both combined.

It'll do really well undoubtedly though.

Surely GTS will match or surpass GT5 in week 1? Or does it have less days at retail for the week?
Its a Sony exclusive, which seem to incite some sort of real life Fry "take my money" type behaviour from PS4 owners.

A reminder of week one GT sales in UK.

Bruno later corrected himself:
Just a small correction. I checked ELSPA Sales Awards and Gran Turismo 2 needed 2 weeks to reach 100,000 units, which means that the 115,000 figure was extrapolated to 100% of the market.

Here all sales extrapolated to 100% of the market.

Gran Turismo - 44,000 or 57,000 (I don't know if the reported 44,000 figure was extrapolated)
Gran Turismo 2 - 115,000
Gran Turismo 3 - 92,000
Gran Turismo 4 - 281,000
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue - 120,000
Gran Turismo 5 - 299,000
Gran Turismo 6 - 61,000

I'll go with 90k.

Metroid has never sold well. I have no idea why Nintendo don't just put the series out of it's misery.

It was constant million sellers with a few (understandable) exceptions. I have a hard time believing that this one will be even close to what Metroid does normally.

I'm sticking with my 65K for GTS, but after reading the reviews I wouldn't be surprised if it had a worse 1st week than GT6. The huge focus on online is gonna hurt it big time.

Nah, I still think it will do really well. The brand is just too strong, especially in the UK. I have three friends with a PS4 who all swore for months they weren't going to pick it up because of the lack of SP content and the online focus. In our WhatsApp group last night they all buckled and bought the game, lol. I think in the EU it will still pull big numbers.

It's certainly an interesting choice and I'm not sure why they went that direction. I'm still going to stick with 100K+ with no confidence at all.

Seems like Fifa actually sells better in Germany than in the UK. Pretty curious if Switch will ever get the 100k award :D

How do you come to that conclusion? The PS4 version also sold more than 500k in September in the UK, while the X1 version also sold more than 100k.

BIU awards include digital sales. With digital FIFA was also over 1 million first week in UK.

First week in UK: 831 000
First week in Germany going by these awards (as FIFA launched during last week of september): Over 1 million

With digital UK numbers should be over 1 million too though.

That's strange where's the other 400k for fifa coming from, isn't that 4 other platforms. At least one of them should have sold more than 100k (or at lot more if the others didn't reach that threshold). I guess they just decided not to mention them.

Fifa on PS4 is somewhere between 500001 and 999999, probably on the higher end of the scale.

I'm guessing around 70% of sales are on the PS4 in Germany and the PS4 version will get a BIU Award next month for passing 1 million.

so are the awards 100k, 200k, 500k, and 1 ml with nothing in between right?

There are only 100k, 200k and 500k awards for platform specific games. 500k award can be given multiple times and that is why FIFA 17 for example is over 1.5 million on PS4. As far as I know GTAV has also gotten 500k award two times so that old list is little out of date.

okay, I was wondering how fifa was over 1 mil but ps4 fifa could be close to 1 million itself then
