Smoke, flashes the lot. So now I'm on my tablet wondering what the fuck do I buy.
60Hz/1080/1440p
144Hz/1080p/1440p
Obviously I'd like to go Gsync but that's too rich for my blood. I'm currently using a 24" 60Hz 1080p which honestly I was never happy with for gaming due to high ms.
Question, if I go 144Hz will 60fps feel like 30fps does now? (Choppy and slow), can you set 144Hz monitors to 60Hz in games you can't hit 144fps in? I only have a GTX 970 so I think it's wise sticking to 1080p?
What a shit end to my evening though, I really didn't need this.
UPDATE:
Hmm, not a good first impression here. Unless I tilt the monitor back or put it to it's highest stand setting the bottom half of the screen is tinted blue, I'm guessing that's a viewing angle issue or what? It's much worse the brighter the screen settings and on white backgrounds. My old monitor was a TN panel too and nowhere near this extreme. Nearly all the stand heights and positions render the display unusable. If anyone has any ideas please feel free to let me know.
EDIT: Couldn't get it to look non dog shit using the default Windows profile, but using NVCP to set it up using online calibration tests and now it looks really great, much better than my other monitor and 144Hz feels nice, although, it wasn't as massive as I was expecting but still noticeable.
