You'll get an icon on your system tray, so just enable the unknown device when that pops up.
In a little bit you'll see the Windows Media icon appear under each media section of the XMB. Restart the PS3, and you'll be able to see the files in the playlists.
sounds so simple, but I've done all of that (been trying since last night) and no luck.. Its not a firewall or router problem either.
