Yes, it was by far the better system. The only problem was a lack of a solid first party stable, but that's not really a problem with Sony, now is it? So Sony has the most solidly built system and a promise of great first party games, yet people want that company to be humbled by a company that for this generation decided to skimp on quality and sell a suicidal console, with an outrageous pricing scheme for peripherals to boot. Right on.

Its funny yes . But even if sony sells 3 million consoles in all in this second launch it will still be more faster than than the 360 . And will be a little over half of the 360s total user base.

You talk about arrogant. It's not about equality, it's about who offers the best value for what gamers want. And what you consider a good value, may not be so with a majority of gamers, obviously.

Sony has done nothing to figure out not only what their customers want, or how much they're willing to pay for it. How arrogant, to incorrectly assume what your customers want, charge hundreds more than what they're willing to/comfortable spending for that kind of entertainment experience, and then lambast them for it. It's the customers' fault, their stupid, we're not. *rolls eyes* Arrogance. I don't know a better depiction of how to operate with arrogance in business than that.

Sony needs to take a step out of it's shoes and look at things from gamers' perspective, and fast.

yes i hope a hardware company makes good quality hardware. would be funny if they didn't. ms is a software comopany so its whats to be expected. with that said 18 hrs a day for almosta year and i have had no issues with my 360. i had 2 ps2's break on my in the first year i had them.

and to be fair my originla xbox started to die on me right befor i got a 360 so i should mention that to be fair. it would give me disc read errors all the time in halo 2.

but like i said you buy for what games you want. and warranties are there for a reason.

costco ftw. lifetime warranty let my 360 break. 5 mins i be ballin again just like chadwarden. lol

I think AltogetherAndrews is falling apart! Crap for cheap!? Must be why the ps2 sells so well since its the cheapest and had a history of falling apart. The pstwo is much better, but that doesnt erase all those dead ps2's. You sound like a sony employee for christ sake. I was one so I know!

err 360 has better software now right?


thats all that matter at this point it seems, because ps3 will probably be available most likely at a cheaper price once the software lineup starts to compare with the 360 lineup.

No real reason to buy it at launch.

It also says that 95% of the consoles available at the event went unsold. Not good for a city like Paris, with over 8 million people in its suburban area. And believe me, there's tons of young people there that want to play games, but it's clear the PS3 is WAY too expensive. This was totally expected. As bad as it is here in North America, Europe's pricing is totally exponentially retarded.

After 22pm many journalists (at the Sony launch event) did receive sms messages wishing them a good evening from Microsoft.
Some minutes later the boat passed by and was going around the site. Microsoft employees were joking at them from the boat and blowing wistles.
That was supposedly amusing.

You're stupid. And clearly in the minority thankfully. When you Sony fans look past the hardware and at the unique attributes of the Wii and the excellent library of the 360, you'll be easier to talk to. Until then, you should just shut up until you learn how to cope with this new world order. This victimization complex is very annoying. No one is out to get you.

If the market finds the price hard to swallow, you have no right to judge a consumer's decision especially when there are two quality alternatives out there. And yes, they are quality despite what you may think.

Look past the hardware? It's a hardware race, and the crap for build but on the cheap is apparently winning over quality. You tell me how that sets a good precedent for generations to come. Why would any console manufacturer bother with creating a system that is both powerful and reliable when it's clear that you need to meet at most one of the two requirements to see success in the marketplace? It's really ****ing sad.

Photos from France are nice, but some ppl came with friends. According to JF there were 20-something actual buyers in that crowd. Additional 4-5 buyers in another location.

Whatever man. You're entitled to your opinion.

For my money, the 360 provides a great entertainment experience, and all the fun I look for in games and a gaming console. I've had zero problems with hardware so bark up another tree.

You epitomize Sony's problem. I buy a 360, completely enjoy it, have zero problems with the hardware, love the games...and yet from your perspective, I'm not a happy, satisfied customer, I'm stupid.

Get over yourself. (talking to Sony of course ;)

Suicidal console? Dont you think that you are exaggerating a little bit? I mean sure the first batch of consoles had their fair share of problems but I wouldnt call the 360 a suicidal console. And you called it cheat crap. I think you just need to chill out and realize that most people are here to have fun. I own a PS3 and you don't see me having meltdowns everybody criticizes or makes fun of the PS3 in fact most of the time I just laugh it off.
