PS4 and Xbox One in 2014: A Video Game Onslaught

I'll be pleasantly surprised if "The Order 1886" and "The Division" actually are released in 2014. I'm thinking 2015 for both of those titles.

Anyway My most anticipated next gen titles (for this year) are Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes and "The Evil Within".

I believe The Division is now a 2015 title.

This, some of these I had no idea about, great stuff coming to both consoles! Was Diablo 3 suppose to be PS4 only? I was under the impression it would come to Xbox one aswell and find it hard to believe it won't considering it was also on X360.

I think I read that Diablo 3 was coming to X1 and that Sony had some kind of exclusive "mention" clause, kind of like how Xbox is always mentioned in COD advertising. I'm not positive though so don't quote me.

Awesome list. Personally prefer the One's titles thus far, but if the order comes out this year then I'll be getting a PS4 this year too.

Great thread Shinobi!

Although your lack of PSN's most exciting game displeases me…

Two 2014 games that I didn't see in the OP.

Guilty Gear Xrd (PS4)

The new Guilty Gear is coming to PS3 and PS4 in Japan next year. Arc System Works, in a short and sweet one-minute trailer, announced that their next Guilty Gear game will be hitting Sony's home consoles sometimes in 2014
The Guilty Gear developers will be at E3 this year so I'm guessing they'll announce the US date which could end up being fall 2014 or earlier. It comes out in the arcade in March just like Persona 4 Arena did and here were the console release dates: JP July 26, 2012, NA August 7, 2012, and EU May 10, 2013.

It’s out 2014 and will be elaborated upon at Tokyo Games Show this month.

meh. With the exception of MGS and Destiny none of these games look even remotely interesting. I hope MGS and Destiny get a PC port.

Uuugh, my wallet just shriveled up and died just looking at this list.

PS4: $400
Controller: $60
PS+: $35 (GAF Discount)
8 games: $480
Vita+Card: $250
Vita games: $120

Total: $1,345

Thank god for F2P games, looks like I'm going to have to sink more hours into Planetside 2 than I initially thought.

There are far to many TBA 2014 release dates in that opening post. Will likely have to wait until E3 to see if any of those games get pushed back to 2015. One would hope because if they get released after E3 but before the end of the year then many of them are going to fail simply do to having so many releases at one time.

I had hoped to pick up a PS4 sooner then that. However need more concrete release dates.

So I'm not the only person thinking this. We're well into January and we pretty much know the games coming out for the first fourth of this year. If some of these games don't get some release dates soon, either:

A.) They get pushed back to 2015, which I don't want.
B.) They all come out from Oct. to Dec. and most of them do poorly because WAY too many games at the same time.

Here's hoping The Witcher 3 is this summer at least.
