Got a ton of numbers and videos for you guys. I didn't bother measuring the times in the videos(also yes the video quality is crap). All games are downloaded and this is using the Seagate 1TB Solid State Hybrid Drive SATA 6Gbps 64MB Cache 2.5-Inch ST1000LM014. Each test was done using my iPhone 5's stopwatch feature and the units are in seconds.
To First Splash means when a company logo appears(or intro video) and there isn't a loading icon anymore in the corner of the screen. An example of a loading icon is the ship in Resogun or the G in the middle of the screen for Killzone. To Main Menu/Menu means that there is no interference and it goes through all splash videos leading up to the menu in Killzone/pressing Start in Resogun/or the menu becoming available in the PS OS.
It is important to note the difference as for example, the splash videos in Resogun are lengthy but you can skip past them.
Standby mode was entered via this method: Press and hold the PS button for at least 1 second, and then select [Enter Standby Mode] on the screen that is displayed.

In conclusion, it is surprisingly faster to boot your system from cold than it is to boot it up from standby. I would also say that the Seagate is faster than the HGST as well, going from the times in the OP. Switching between apps to seems to have a minimal detrimental effect, if any, but someone would have to test this with more apps than just two.
