I can't speak to your experience, obviously, but outside of the Xmas 2014 attacks, PSN has been down maybe 2-3 hours total in the nearly 15 months I've owned a PS4.

My first thought after hearing PSN was down was, "Has it been hacked again, I should remove the payment methods." Sony could learn a lot from MS on this to be honest.

Fact of the matter is that both psn and xbl had really solid 2015s. I'm sure they're working on fixing the issue and preparing a statement around what happened.

no I'm just saying in both cases it's sometimes a legit maintenence/downtime, in others it's somebody having YMMV issues on their end like with their ISP or something. I was just trying to make the point that you can't just rely on the amount of "PSN/XBL issues!" threads created and treat it as gospel.

Decided to play Just Cause 3, and after getting through all the "Servers are down" screens I settled down to liberating my remaining provinces. No biggie, right? But when I unlocked a huge achievement/trophy it has yet to show up in my history :/ It's as if I didn't earn it. I hope it shows up when the servers come back on...

Maybe it would work if I went offline mode.

I couldn't start it at first but it works if you uncheck the "Connect to the internet" option in the Network menu. That way it won't try to contact the server.

Yes it can go both ways. We are all in the thread because it is down...so since we are here..i don't see the problem commenting on those post...In this thread that aren't exactly constructive to the situation at hand but rather shit posting a situation that isn't happening.
