Is this a sincere question about Revelations? I take it you haven't played the game?
Revelations has multiple interweaving storylines like RE6, but the game switches between them at scripted points in the plot -- you can't play them separately, but rather go through them in the order the author intended. I think this works to Revelations' benefit: The pacing, variety, etc, all works well since it's all working along one path. The game alternates between extensive segments on the ship, which are dark and atmospheric and contain exploration, puzzle-solving and backtracking reminiscent of classic RE, and action-packed flashbacks or asides in other locations, which serve to keep things fresh. There is also a grand conspiracy spanning all plot threads that comes together nicely in the end, and the plot has an awesome "Dante's Inferno" theme, with passages from the text opening each chapter. The chapters are also bookmarked by recaps and previews, iirc, set to a heart-pumping theme song like a good TV show. It makes it hard to put the game down; you always want to see what happens next.
Beyond that, there are no QTEs that I can recall, so control over the game is never taken away. And with the exception of two turret sections (which were actually fun), all of the boss encounters are legit boss encounters, fought face-to-face (or face-to-knee -- some of these monsters are tall!) on the ground, forcing you to outmaneuver your opponent in multi-layered environments. There is great build-up to each boss, and all of the characters, creatures and concepts are thoughtfully integrated into the setting and plot. Revelations is just an immaculately crafted game, polished through and through. The music is the best in the series, the end-game is seriously haunting and ends on a terrific high note, and the characters, creatures and conspiracy are all great. And it's all powered by airtight controls and slick shooting mechanics where you disable limbs to setup melee attacks, all while being able to strafe out of the way of incoming attacks.
Oh, and Raid mode is an incredible multiplayer mode in RER. Picture addictive loot-driven co-op gameplay through dozens of missions ripped from the main game, with leveling up and new skins, perks and weapons to unlock. So good. At the end of the day, Revelations just has such a strong vision behind it, from the menus to the mood to the mechanics and progression. One of the best games in the series, second only to RE4, imo.
