So, this has no value outside of piracy, then?
Yup, just for piracy

Well they never did, except for outliers like Kid Icarus that aren't available to download.
hope this is worth the bump

seems like its 1 game per microsd card. seems real
Nope. None whatsoever that I can see. The questionable "Bu-bu-bu all my games on 1 card!" crowd have no defense here.
Not that I disagree that it has no use outside of piracy, did you happen to miss this post?Nope. None whatsoever that I can see. The questionable "Bu-bu-bu all my games on 1 card!" crowd have no defense here.
Region locked games? Could be an acceptable solution for those people that don't want to buy the same portable 2 times.

Okay. And the post I linked to said the video is old and that they now have a game loader. No I watched the video, I see they've got it working one game per card. Thus, the argument of "I don't want to carry loads of game cards around with me" is moot so far.

uh, why would that crowd be questionable considering how awful nintendo's dlc policies areNope. None whatsoever that I can see. The questionable "Bu-bu-bu all my games on 1 card!" crowd have no defense here.

Does it play games from other regions? I don't see any indication of that.

I mean it doesn't apply here since it's only one game per cart but if it wasn't then yeah
cool but that doesn't give you the right to imply people are pirates for saying they want to do something that makes senseI find it a hard pill to swallow going on personal anecdotal evidence, that's all. I'm sure there were legitimately people who used their R4 cards to store the games they'd legitimately bought and nothing else, but I never met such a person.
Oh, I just assumed it does like past DS flashcards...
Well this is sad news.
Its more than one game per card now

it helps to read postsSomething that actually Nintendo lets you doing, by buying from the eShop, you know...

Really? Awesome, that gives it a bit more use.
that's the same thingI can imply they are liars though.
I'm amazed it took them this long. Nintendo must have had some very serious protection in their system.
So. Is there any benefits apart from piracy. Can you now run homebrew, emulators etc... and are homebrew devs actually working on them.
It would be nice to play something like SM64 in 3D.
The DS wasn't region-locked.
Just in time for E3 and the rumored 3DS firmware/miiverse update.
And what if hackers release this code AFTER that update? Exploit is still not public...

maybe once nintendo leaves 1997 for their online shop their DD will be viable, but until then I'll stick to buying retail and will use a solution that lets me carry all my games at once when available
theoretically:
- having your retail games on a single cart
- circumventing region lock
