Rumor: Dead Rising 4 leak from old build, maybe re-imag of 1 w/ 4p co-op & full town

You could do exactly that, minus mall, with DR3. There are all types of ridiculous weapons and costumes, just like the previous games.

I'd argue that's the only redeeming factor of the game. They pretty much went all in on the WACKY LOLS zombie murder porn.

he's kind of right though. it's kind of shitty for the 2nd game in a series to go multiplatform only to go back exclusive with the next 2

It's one thing to be upset at an exclusive game. I'm no stranger to that. I.E. as an XB1 fan/owner there's stuff that I just don't have access to.

But wishing that you had never played any of the previous games at all seems pretty unnecessary.

Wait, are they saying that it could potentially come to PS4?

Their statement is so ambiguous it could be coming to any damned platform.

Maybe they're playing it safe considering the exclusive/non exclusive history of the franchise. Seems like some posts here have indicated it's exclusive to Microsoft, but we'll see soon enough

They did and while I think there are a few redeeming factors, I wasn't as satisfied with DR3 like I wanted to be. Much prefer DR1 or 2. Especially 2OTR.

I love the Dead Rising series and Dead Rising 3 was exceptionally good. If this game is real and has 4 player coop story it will be a blast to play with friends.

There have been more DR games with co-op than without....Also, if it is an option like the last games, it shouldn't effect the singleplayer at all. Just 3 more buddies to slay zombies with.

It's 4-player co-op the same way Gears of War will be 4-player co-op.

Who said there won't be a solo experience?

You know the game's had 2-player coop since 2, right?

It is rare for single player games to have coop especially 4 players. No thanks. I love it.

My bad, I misread it as being an entirely co-op experience. If it's like past DR games with a separate co-op mode, we all good.

I can't take it DR going co-op only.

To atone for your transgressions, I will join your future game of Dead Rising 4 and beat you with a dildo bat while wearing a banana hammock.

Well, we are always told that optional Coop doesn't impact the SP experience but somehow it always does at the end of the day. Game with Coop usually always end up being lukewarm when played alone.

YES YES YES!

Only thing that bothers me is that Frank West doesn't really look like frank west and that there is a full blown town :/

Really excited. DR1 was one of my favorite games last gen. 2 and 3 were just meh imo.

Curious to see how this turns out.

Co op on PS4 would be perfect.

As long as the mall is fully fleshed out we good. And just think of all the fun stuff we will (better be) able to find in people's houses. And what if there's a school and you can grab crayons to shove down zombie throat? Damn, I'm hyped!

im going to be really really upset if another Dead Rising game is an exclusive and not multiplatform with xbone/ps4 :/

Wonder how bad Capcom's finances really are.

I mean, it seems like literally everything they've released in the past four years except for Resident Evil has had first-party funding attached. That doesn't show to me a successful and independent company to see them constantly looking for handouts.

Not actually that important
Legit surprised and pleased they didn't go DE4D RISING with the title.

Also I'm cool with Frank and hopefully a return to the first, magical, flawed but great and original, game.
Not that they're bad games at all, but DR is one of my favorite games from the whole of last gen, probably the best XBOX exclusive for me, while the others weren't quite there, hated everything about the demo for 3 so I haven't played that and have no interest in it.
And yes, I loved the save system of DR1.
A return to DR1's kind of open world bar the loading and multiple play through system would be welcomed.

Not bad, just mostly exaggerated. All these games started development 2-3 years ago. Their market cap currently is $1.6bn, roughly 150% more than it was two years ago when the "Capcom is broke" rumors began.

To be fair, this outside funding is allowing them to properly develop & explore titles without having to resort to moving onto new genres or mediums in some drastic fashion

Oft hope is born when all is forlorn.
I expect this not to be exclusive. DR3 was awesome, shame PS players never got chance to play it.

Of all Inafune's bumbling moves to westernize Capcom, the only bright spot was buying Blue Castle to make Capcom Vancouver.

Capcom Vancouver's efforts, feel like Capcom as opposed to those farmed out games that were in name only.

Monster Hunter sells 4 million all the time...

No reason not to have a free roam mode. It definetly add replay value once you've finished off the game multiple times. And if you're like, then I usually go for the best scenario, and completely ignore the bad endings. No point on failing on purpose. :p

Can't wait to go back to Willamette Mall.
