It wouldn't be fair if some characters on the console and handhelds didn't have stages that represented their franchise.

This whole Wii U Kid Icarus thing is smut because Sakurai confirmed he wasn't interested in revisiting the series and I have doubts as to what developer would be able to recreate and remaster what Sakurai did with Uprising.

Nobody's saying it does, it's just amusingly coincidental that immediately after the Palutena leak we got both Viridi and a new Wii U KI stage reveal. I'm assuming real or not Sakurai's seen that 'leak' by now and is just dicking around.

Guys (and gals), what if, when/if Palutena is confirmed, her character page contains exactly the leaked images, except as legitimate screenshots, followed by some form of confirmation out of Sakurai that he personally leaked them himself?


That might be the only way that he could troll harder on this matter than what he has done with this pic of the day.

Use logic. What would be the point? There's a very obvious point to replacing Link in the Spirit Tracks stage. He could get confused for a player character. There is no way anyone would confuse that statue for playable Palutena. It's most likely in the background, it's stone-colored, and it most likely won't move around.

My point is that Viridi has nothing to do with the temple. Why would they put a different goddess's statue in the wrong temple? It doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Plus you cannot possibly get mixed up between the statue and Palutena herself.

Well we know it's not since the base of the structure is just like Palutena's Temple in Uprising. Everyone jumped to conclusions regarding the stages -- what a surprise -- when all Sakurai has stated is most of the stages would be predominantly based on the libraries of their specific consoles.
