What happened?

Some dude submitted 300+ characters to Salty, many of which were stupid overpowered little anime girls. After hours of this, one came out with this elaborate intro and over the top "this character is OP" effects around her while facing an absolute garbage character from a series that translated poorly to Mugen AI wise.

The person who submitted it then hinted to the chat that the new one was good but then bet thousands on the garbage character while nearly everyone bet for the anime character. It turned out that the little girl had like two weak attacks, low health, and bad AI, and thousands of people got sent to the mines while the submitter became a millionaire.

I don't know, but there is another girl with a violin in a completely different art style that is terrible. Something Prismastone or something.

After a recent influx of little, unknown, overpowered, anime girls contributed by a moderator of the SaltyBet Twitch channel, people were starting to get reckless and frustrated when it came to betting in matches where they were involved.

Sometimes they were absolutely untouchable and other times they were just average, but since there were no statistics to check up on how they performed in previous matches and no one knew who they were, people started to bet on them purely by aesthetics. If they looked like crap and didn't have thousands of meters, they most likely weren't that great while the well animated ones were instinctively thought of as awesome.

Eventually, this happened (not from yesterday's match itself, but it's the same intro):

Because of everything I said above, you can imagine what happened and why the odds became 1:74.3 in favor of Myon. Unfortunately, Myon sucks and the character she was up against destroyed her.

This made a lot of people mad and poor.

I understand why. So many new waifu's :/

I keep working my way up to 10 - 11k and then losing all of it on some idiot bet where I'm not really paying attention. I'm beginning to feel like nothing will live up to those first wonderours days of SaltyBetting, but I haven't seen any of the new characters or that auto balancing that Salty was talking about yet. But maybe binging on four hour betting sessions isn't a good way to keep it fresh.

The guy's name is Cherrywarrior (you can see him in the top 10 on the website's leaderboard). He's the mod that provided the characters to Salty.

As a result, he's betting with the knowledge of who the characters are and what they're capable of like the Yun or the Myon upset.
