To me, once Shenmue 3 was announced, it was never a case of 'if' and more of a case of 'when' in regards to a Shenmue HD Collection. It's just smart business to get a remastered collection out there before 3 drops. I don't know how notable this site is, but if a collection finally is coming out then it's happening sooner than I thought it would.

Hopefully the release date isn't too far off then. I never got to beat Shenmue 1, and never even played 2, so I'm eager to jump back in! I only got to play it a bit when I was visiting my uncle back in the day, but always thought highly of the series. (I really want to pet that orphaned kitten again, too)

If they're doing anything, it's gotta be ports. A remaster of something like Shenmue would be way too expensive.

If it exists, likely a port. Maybe with a few improvements here and there for controls and the like, probably dual audio as well but we'll see. A complete remake would have been announced ages ago.

Afraid not. I'm a big Shenmue fan and I'll say that the game play of 1-2 might even put newcomers off of Shenmue 3 :/
