Sony said Holiday 2013 at E3. But they have been trolling MS all year so I wouldn't be surprised if late October is a reality. Especially since store allocations keep increasing to the point unheard of for a system launch. Which means yields are good. I'm guessing release is more on the software than the hardware at this point.

10-29-13 is an important date to hit. BF4, AC4 release with CoD one week later.

It cannot really be earlier since the launch lineup would be bad. Late october is a possibility tho since they could get AC4, BF4 as launch titles.
