Gb2 did everything gb did but honestly it improved on every aspect. As one of the hardest of hardcore gb fans, I feel like a lot of people get upset and refuse to acknowledge this idea in discussion. Gb2 had actual jokes that landed with laugh out loud humor, janosz was terrifying with his shit and also hilarious.

Gb1 had too much dry "wit" and sarcasm. Aka you better REALLY fucking like bill Murray and his "comedy" or there isn't much to enjoy humor wise. Although the elevator scene in gb1 where they slowly back away from the now turned on proton pack while still in the time elevator is still one of the funniest things in both movies

I've been defending gb2 on gaf since I signed up here

And the gb remake was doomed from day 1 because Sony Films legitimately can't stumble into a good movie by accident

The dry wit and humor of Ghostbusters 1 is kind of why I like the first one a little more. Some of the jokes and their punchlines are subtle but when you pick up on them they're funny.

The New Nation of Domination (Bronx-Man & Kornflayx) vs The Huggers of Destruction (Zach & Biggest-Geek-Ever) [C]
Beefy is banned from ringside! The grudge match from the hottest feud in the GWF tag division. This time there will be no outside interference and everything goes in this tornado tag match inside a Hell in a Cell

Main Event Part 2
Hell in a Cell GWF B+ Championship Match
Tall4Life vs RBH [C]
The latest, and potentially final, chapter in what has by some been considered the greatest feud in GWF history. These two have crossed paths multiple times dating all the way back to GWF1, with Tall4Life winning the first two confrontations at GWF1 and GWF4 respectfully. RBH planned his retaliation well, however, first by interfering in Tall4Life's GWF5 match. Following that, RBH's first victory over Tall4Life ended up costing Tall4Life the GWF B+ Championship in a triple threat match at GWF6 when RBH pinned the champ clean in the middle of the ring. Following a title defense against Syder at GWF6, RBH and Tall4Life will once again renew their epic rivalry this time in the confines of Hell in a Cell.

Side notes
-- This match card was written up about a month ago but got postponed for life reasons. Since I was originally wanting smaller and more frequent shows, that's why the GWF World Title is absent from the card
-- Main event for GWF9 has already been determined to be Professor Beef vs BewareTheBatsie
-- Tall4Life and Beefy are the last former champs who get rematch clauses

rivers of slime creeped me out when I was younger. in point of fact, this movie slotted into the same mental space as Return to Oz when I was young. Love 'em both

the only reason he even did the first Ghostbusters movie was so he could make some stupid movie called The Razors Edge - which everyone else thought would be a fucking bomb because nobody wants to see Bill Murray in some pretentious drama.

it bombed so bad Murray almost quit acting

Murray also got a stick up his ass about people thinking that Harold Ramis was responsible for Murray's success

Airplane!, Naked Gun 1 & 2, Pink Panther: A Shot in the Dark, Young Frankenstein.

Also, O Brother, Where Art Thou? is probably one of my favourite films ever, but it's more than just a comedy.

Major League is easily the best sports movie of all time.

I think I like A League of Their Own and Field of Dreams more. Major League has that love subplot that's honestly really fucking creepy when you think about it. That's the big drawback I have from calling it the best sports movie.

Bob Ueker fucking kills it as the baseball announcer though

Like, I love miserable black comedies like the Ref. I love that movie. But I won't put it on a top 5. (And yes, it's the mid-90s) - but there's so much that just hinges on what kind of comedy you want. Sometimes I just want dour, miserable shit with people who are similarly miserable.
