I managed to get all the main track rewards with three days to spare but didn't manage to get enough trading cards to get the Book shop which I was disappointed about. It seems the only way to get trading cards is tapping crims or the minuscule amount you get per day in friends towns. I really think they need to make visiting friends more valuable in these events. For a long time now there's basically been no point.

New update is out with a mini-event for the fourth of July. New Gil deal and questline with that along with returning president characters and items.
Also with this update is the reduction of social battles for prizes. Now you'll need much fewer to get all the prizes; I got three just after I downloaded, which is neat!

Yeah, I'm really glad they reduced the cost of social battle prizes, as that would have required a huge amount of dedication.

So now there's a new button added for "quick battles." Tap it and the results will be randomly generated, though you can influence it by the order you select your fighters. Only takes a few seconds to do a fight now.
Quick battles are very handy. Especially when you have enough heroes to clear a full spawn of fellons. Much quicker.
I'm at a loss to explain the extreme performance problems on my Nvidia Shield tablet. On iOS (Air gen 1 and an iPhone 6) it's fine. On the shield it's barely playable. Everything else I'm playing on the Shield is fine (Space Galaga for the win)

However, I am currently tapping as many criminals as I can just so I can get Charcoal Briquette. She looks awesome lol

I think the event has been decent. I really like the Dead Lobster, Spirograph and movie studio buildings. The rest of the rewards were kind of meh as they were either decorations or character skins.
I do like some of the villains we got though.

Cause I started playing during the recent superhero event and keeping up with quests for the events, story, heights, monorail, and premium characters has been a lot to balance, haha.

Yeah, I'm done with the normal story quests (save for some premium characters I have yet to get), so I usually get new stuff on events only.
It's better to give priority to the event quests during events, obviously, so you don't miss out on the limited time stuff.
Also, is Stephen Hawking the first real-life person that is currently alive to appear on the game?

Yeah I didn't realize it was better to tap and clear my town of robots before doing the little defense mini game until like two days ago. I reached 24000 with about a minute and half to spare. Knowing that now, these next two acts should be much easier.

The character page for future stuff that already had Lady Bot, Mooch Bart, and President Lisa as well as the new Mecha Hawk prize also shows Evil Homer and the some of the robots as being characters we can obtain.
Since they're not on the prize track, will they be crafting items or a reward for finishing the quest line? Or something else?

Yeah, the crafting objectives were completely skewed. Unless they introduce a way for people to convert their useless future bucks into robot parts before the event is over there's no chance in hell I'm unlocking everything.

You guys seriously had trouble with crafting? I'm Level 18 and all I need is 2600 gears for Homer's Dream House and I'm done. After that I'll just use all the bucks to build stuff that gives money.
Didn't purchase anything Premium this event either, outside of previously owning Frank Grimes.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong then. I check the game every 4 hours (which honestly is about twice as much attention as these events usually demand from me to be completed). I finish the Homer Clones/Grimes/Hawkins quests and start them again, clear the town of robots, and then do the mini game. I also visit my friend's towns daily until I can't get any more event currency and I'm still 1000 parts short of Costington's.

Why are you wasting time clearing the robots when playing the mini game automatically does that?
Because I'm one of the people who's game's been glitches since Act 1. Doing the mini game does clear my town, but rather than giving me 80 parts like it should, I get 1, I would miss out on the rewards from manually tapping on the robots that are milling about. I learned that late in the first act of the event and almost didn't finish the prize track because of it. It's apparently a pretty common thing for people this event.

I've largely ignored the heights completely in favor of trying to catch up with event and character quests (level 49 currently, I'll have Nelson's mom today) so this 4x rewards is great since I'm done with the season premiere thing.

EDIT: This is so awesome. I'm finally getting caught up with Springfield Heights.
Same here. I went from $622M to $716M overnight and now on the way to $1000M. Once I build the final reward I'm done with SH for good.
