Moneyhats aside, I agree with your sentiment. Sony really can't afford to even let Microsoft gain any kind of ground or momentum in Japan. If Microsoft becomes even a diminutive threat to Sony in Japan, they could be permanently screwed. Anything can happen this generation.

All Sony have to do is lock down FFXIII exclusive in Japan, where the game is most important anyway, and nothing else MS do in Japan will be able to counter that. Of course, locking down exclusive FFXIII in Japan could prove to be rather difficult. :lol
