* Personalization – Personalize your PS3 with new dynamic custom themes and avatars. Dynamic themes as well as free and premium avatars will be available through PlayStation Store. A dynamic theme takes your screen to a whole new level as it incorporates animated objects into the background.
* Trophies – Showcasing your hard earned trophies just got better. Update 3.00 gives game developers the ability to modify how they display trophies for add-on content. Base and add-on game trophies will continue to be combined into a single list so you can see where you stand in a game as a whole. Within that list, trophies will be broken out into subcategories—base trophies and add-on trophies—that way, you can easily view the percentage of your base game trophy collection, and separately track your trophy progress in add-on packs. Look for this enhancement to be included in upcoming games.

Awesome update, well worth the wait. If only they improved the chat rooms a little bit more...

For those of you who don't know, Marvel already has a digital comics subscription program. Right now they only offer a limited number of comics on the service. I imagine that the service on PSN is going to be about the same. Sounds like it's going to have more than just Marvel though.

Sounds like the digital reader will support books later...if they make their book distribution platform available on psn aswell as the e-readers it could help it a lot. And as someone who already subscribes to books24x7.com, already used to reading off a screen, I'd be interested :)

But it's certainly not pointless. There's good reason for the ranges available for all of the different voucher cards for various services that there are. A lot of it is psychological, but in a recession, there's especially good reason to offer lower value cards for impulse buys and gift purchases. You want to include more people and get more PSN purchases? Start offering more choices to more people.
