The reason I'm saying it demonstrates tech is because that's what Sony themselves said about it after the event. I've at no point suggested that any of the demos they showed weren't being played live, they clearly were.
To be completely accurate about it would be to call it something along the lines if "a demonstration of some of the themes and technology in the game even though the technology or the way isn't identical to how it will be in the final experience". There are many variations on that and each of them are probably equally correct.
As I keep saying, I have no issues at all with people using the term "gameplay demo" and the only times that I've even used the term is to point that at no point during this entire thread have I suggested otherwise.
The only reason that I keep replying here is because people are attributing to me something that I haven't said, I've at no point suggested that it's incorrect to refer to it as a gameplay demo. Sony themselves have used both terms when referring to the game, and do you know what, I agree with them.
I just know a different way of dealing with it other than repeatedly telling people that I don't disagree with that noun being used here.
