It's really frustrating that 'centring your view' with the Y button just doesn't work right in handheld mode. I wanted to play some online while having football on the TV in the background but I just can't given how motion controls work.
With the controller in docked mode, no matter where you're looking Y centres your view. It's great. With the handheld it only does if you're looking down, so if you're lying back or titling the screen up in any way as your neutral position the game is unplayable. Such a weird oversight.
Tried playing with just the analogue sticks but the game is garbage that way. Gah.

Had a really fun Salmon Run but man I felt so ineffective with the Splatling
What point are you making here? I love the aerospray, but with that weapon it's entirely possible to get 1,200p while playing poorly and causing your team to lose. It's not as simple as 'I got 1,200p, we should have won', imo.
There have been times with the aerospray where I got 1,400-1,500 but got killed in the middle with 15 seconds to go and know that that cost my team the victory. Those 10 seconds at the end are all it takes to totally swing the battle. There are times where a teammate has only 500p but had a bunch of kills that allowed me to paint the stage so it's not as simple as 'low score = bad' either imo.

Good in Turf, Basically Useless in Tower Control, Useful in Rain Maker and Splat Zones.
Avoid close combat, play more of a supportive role.

Maws don't require bombs, and i'd say it's harder to kill them with bombs... Or I don't know how to do a really short throw.

I believe the requirements are slightly lower, so it's easier to level up, but at the same time, I find it harder to do over 60 eggs overall.
I agree, I think the weapon choice in this run is pretty enjoyable overall.
And the splattling is the best weapon against those bomb throwers (thingyhead ?)

Throw em at your feet. Maws are frankly a godsend if your team knows what they're doing, it's an easy free three eggs in front of the basket.

Fuck everyone knowingly playing this game with a shitty connection. I'm sick and tired of 3v4, 3v3, 2v4, bullshit matches. I'm just blocking everyone that DC's from a match with me, friend or foe. I don't care if I end up blocking half of the people playing this game. There are tons of people playing Splatoon 2 with perfectly fine connections that aren't disconnecting, and then there are you people ruining the game for everyone else.

YEP. Free eggs. Also they'll follow you all the way back to the base so you can quickly kite one over and pick up all the eggs yourself giving your team a chance to kill something else while you solo it.
Yup. This is why I think it's good the game gives out extra EXP only for painting above a certain threshold (don't remember if it's 400p or 500p or whatever) and doesn't really reward much beyond that. Having people that are more focused on splatting or maintaining control over areas is good to have even if they don't pull in the most amount of points, so deciding who contributed the most in a game can be subjective and isn't necessarily always the one who painted the most.
Throw a bomb at the two count when they are about to appear. You don't need to be accurate. I just throw away a bomb even a bit sideways from the maws and it will guarantee a catch and insta-kill.
I'll try again. Even looking at my feet, I usually throw them too far.
And frankly, with most weapons, you kill a Maw in a single attack with possibly less ink than a bomb...

I'll settle for 230 profreshonal. It'll go back to 40 anyway and already got tons of rewards so might as well call it a day.
It's more of a timing thing. Once you get used to it, maws are easy eggs. The advantage of killing it with a bomb is that you don't get too occupied with a maws. Really helps especially when bosses start to flood the area or when you are forced to use weapons like chargers.

The valve with the Goldie in Salmon Run is so much luck. I've lost so many because we didn't find it until the last valve. So lame
It's a bit luck-based, but you can tell if you're close depending on how much a valve glows and how much it flows when you open it. The more the closer you are to the Goldie. Don't open valves near ones that don't glow/flow much.

I'm like a level 12, never played Splatoon, but I love this game. Is there a gun that's better than the Aerospray? It seems like the clear cut winner imo. It's easy to get 2000p (if you win the match) with it on Turf War and does a decent amount of damage too.

The is no weapon for all. Depending on what you are doing other weapons might be better than the aerospray

I don't know what's up, but my connection has been so unstable I haven't gotten a single multiplayer game in today. Salmon runs are fine, but it's like Nintendo did something to how the game communicates with one of these updates. Nothing on our network has been changed and it had been mostly fine throughout even the splatfest.
Aerospray is basically godtier. It covers just as well as a roller and has just enough range to it. Yeah it'll lose engagements, but if you're getting the first shots off it's hard for an enemy to deal with it. Plus you can just clean up any mess in a second.

Its a good gun for turf war cause the speed it inks and gives coverage. But anyone who has played the game for a while knows to pretty well stay at medium or more range in a confrontation which is where the problem lies.
Also lately, im starting to wonder if the Aero is giving people a false sense of "im so awesome." The reason i say this is cause a lot of people complaining about crappy teammates and its easy to rack points up with the Aero, and there is a lot of Aero users. Now clearly there is some non-Aero users out there who are being burdened with crap teams. But because its easy to rack up points, i wonder how many Aero users are thinking they are better players than they actually are is what im getting at.
I used to use Aero all the time. But i switched my main as i got tired of getting into matches where 6 of 8 players were all using Aeros. Thankfully the Aero hype has slowed a bit since launch and there arent quite as many. But yes, its a great gun for Turf.

I've seen plenty.
Today I fell back into Overachiever and I think Overachiever is much harder than Profreshional. Idk why that is. I feel like people probably go back and forth between Profreshional and Overachiever, but Profreshional felt easier.
Played my first League run earlier with a buddy... We missed top 100 by 0.1. :/
Would have been in Top 80 at least if we didn't get two C- numbskulls (we're both S+ in RM) on our team three times in a row. They threw three solid wins. As in, a nice path is painted, only one enemy is up, all of us are alive and escorting/guarding, but one of the C- grabbed RM before I could, and was busy charging a shot to try and kill the enemy behind us. Instead of going down the victory lane. That exact situation happened twice, and it resulted in a 5 point loss both times when we should have KO'd.
