I've seen plenty.

Today I fell back into Overachiever and I think Overachiever is much harder than Profreshional. Idk why that is. I feel like people probably go back and forth between Profreshional and Overachiever, but Profreshional felt easier.

That's so strange because I've earned 3600P today from playing on Profeshional for a few hours. That's gotta be some crazy (good) luck. I hate Grillers. haha.

You may be on to something though, had way more team wipes on Overachiever for sure.

That moment when you have enough eggs and someone decides to uses the lift by himself and left you behind to die, only to fail in the last few secs....

Yeah that's weird. I just played for 4 hours and got plenty of them. I was doing really good the first few times, then as it progressed it got harder with my team.

Salmon Run is so much fun. I hope they add some more variety with maps later on.

Played my first League run earlier with a buddy... We missed top 100 by 0.1. :/

Would have been in Top 80 at least if we didn't get two C- numbskulls (we're both S+ in RM) on our team three times in a row. They threw three solid wins. As in, a nice path is painted, only one enemy is up, all of us are alive and escorting/guarding, but one of the C- grabbed RM before I could, and was busy charging a shot to try and kill the enemy behind us. Instead of going down the victory lane. That exact situation happened twice, and it resulted in a 5 point loss both times when we should have KO'd.

Some people shouldn't be in League..

This happens so damn much in rain maker. Everyone gets it and thinks they are the deadliest killer. No. No. No. Using the rainmaker should be the absolute least resort, should always be swimming forward, if at all possible, in any bit of ink.

Trying to kill with the rainmaker makes such such a huge slow lumbering target.

There's nothing that irritates me more than people who use weapons they just aren't good at in ranked mode. Do people not know you can test new weapons in Sheldon's shop?

Testing weapons isn't really anywhere near using them in a live game though.

Of course, that's what turf war is for...

Feels like the quality of players went up alot in Profreshional rank. Have only had 1 round out of like 13 where we straight up wiped on 2nd round. Have had tons of wins, and when not completing, atleast making it to the 3rd round so no point loss. Feels nice when everyone around you knows how to deal with Flyfish, Mothership and Goldie fountains

Every single match I'm in, no exaggeration, is determined by who gets a disconnect.

This is some of the most wonky shit I've ever seen. No point even playing

You're telling me that in a four-on-four match setting, a team with only three players might get blown up? No way.

Its a good gun for turf war cause the speed it inks and gives coverage. But anyone who has played the game for a while knows to pretty well stay at medium or more range in a confrontation which is where the problem lies.

Also lately, im starting to wonder if the Aero is giving people a false sense of "im so awesome." The reason i say this is cause a lot of people complaining about crappy teammates and its easy to rack points up with the Aero, and there is a lot of Aero users. Now clearly there is some non-Aero users out there who are being burdened with crap teams. But because its easy to rack up points, i wonder how many Aero users are thinking they are better players than they actually are is what im getting at.

I used to use Aero all the time. But i switched my main as i got tired of getting into matches where 6 of 8 players were all using Aeros. Thankfully the Aero hype has slowed a bit since launch and there arent quite as many. But yes, its a great gun for Turf.
People don't seem to understand that putting down over 1000p doesn't mean much if you got splatted several times and most of it got cleaned up. If the game gave percentages for how much of your team's ink at the end was actually put down by you, I think several aerosprays would be a bit surprised. They'd still beat others, but not by nearly as much, and largely because the weapons that are actually good at splatting covered for them. Turfing ability don't matter if you're dead.

That's not to say they don't have a place, they certainly do, but they're far from OP and having a team of 4 of them isn't exactly good.

Dear god no. I can't count how many pushes I've extended due to smart switching between swimming and firing. Knowing when to swim forward and when to help the offensive is often the difference between a knockout and a push-ending sweep.

Yea that's why I have a better win percentage with a gun like the nzap in Turf War.

Thats the problem, in my experience the problem is they don't know and fall back on "I'm Rambo, IM THE GUN MEN! GET BEHIND ME BOYS!!!!" While I am fighting tooth and nail and creating a path as they fucking sit there behind me.

Move the fuck forward.

Matchmaking has been inconsistent for me over the past couple of days. Been seeing a lot of lobbies where it runs out of time because it can't find players. I doubt it's a population problem at this point but it feels like a waste of time, especially since you can't quit out.

As long as they don't swim in front and pop up to block your shots and get you both killed lol. That's the most frustrating thing to me.

So often wins come down to a few points, I'm happy even if they progress one point forward and die, rather than people who just stand in place waiting to die, or god for bid retreat.

Carrying the Rainmaker requires a good understanding of the current situation and your position. There have been times I've written a push off and just charged as far ae I could to push the score which secured the win. Similarly patient play has also meant we were able to get KOs. It's about looking at the situation as it stands and making the right call.

Only won 2 of my last 15 turf war matches! The majority of them I've been outnumbered 4-3 or even 4-2. I had a little time this morning to play a couple of matches before going out. Played 4 matches, all 4 had uneven teams. This isn't fun.

I have a super fast fibre connection - i'm connected over ethernet. And I've had 9 disconnects in the last two hours due to unstable connection. What the hell is going on with this game??

In that case, sure; you're initial wording made it sound like if you see your ink, swim forward, but that gets you killed a lot. I do often shoot from behind my team, though, as that has been the most effective place to be in my experience.

Also consider, though, that as you're fighting tooth and nail on the front line, you might've missed one. Way too often I've been following my team just to get caught by a guy behind me and my team doesn't notice because they're too far forward.

Peer to peer. Out of the ~300 or so matches i've played so far, i've had around 20 disconnects, and a good chunk of them have always been because the connection to another players device was interrupted. Very, very rarely has a connection error had to do because of my own internet.

If you are behind your own guys, sure fire away, but also grab all the territory you can, its worth dying, specially if your team survives and can pick up the progress.

I just hate when your team has cleared the way, or cleared as much as possible, but nope the rainmaker still terrified in back. Don't grab the rainmaker unless you are up for it and ready to do some shit.

Something's up when every nearly game has a disconnect.

God damn these tiny ass maps. A good sniper can cover effectively the whole damn map.

I was thinking for a while that Ranked was too easy with the changes they made, and while getting to the S ranks was pretty easy. I see now that the true hell has been moved to S + o

We're mostly on the same page, I think. Dying isn't always worth it though, and high level Rainmaker pushing is recognizing when it is and isn't. I generally only kamikaze forward when I know I can:
-take the lead
-extend the lead enough to be tangibly easier to defend
-see the push dying regardless of what choice I make

However, if, for example, I'm pushing forward and see opponents but my teammates are nearby, I will fallback so they can deal with it rather than getting those 5 extra points, they're rarely worth it.

Whew, finally made it to S rank in Rainmaker. Had the bar break on me twice when 1 win away from ranking up so felt good to finally get there. Games are starting to get reeeaaally intense. Feel like I have to be in god mode to win.

Are you guys talking about those disconnects that happen in the lobby while searching for games, or mid-game disconnects? The former happens every now and then for me, the latter maybe.. once?

So Academy Rainmaker has NO alternate route to the goal? You HAVE to go through that bottleneck??

That is fucking stupid. You can't make a push worth anything unless you get a wipe! And it's absurdly easy for someone to shark there because of that. I dropped from almost reaching S+ down to A+ because of that stage.

Tower control gets all kinds of alternate route blocks placed. Why the shit does rainmaker not? Even just that block that is to the left of the ramp would help.

I dunno, a few matches ago the exact scenario I was talking about happened, I died with the rainmaker but my team survived and they were already in the process of getting it back and pushing forward by the time I was respawning.

I think unless its overtime mode, a blind push forward with the rainmaker is always the smarter move.

Specially in the awful ranks where a win often comes down to less than 5 points.

i'm amazed there's no use whatsoever of those two flat areas off to the side. it's completely irrelevant in rainmaker and in TC

Lol, similarly, the main reason I almost never play ranked mode is that I have this weird obsession in Splatoon of buying EVERY piece of gear and getting them all fully upgraded -- but I also don't want to go into ranked mode without fully upgraded gear

So I just end up always in turf war lol. I'm like "I'll play ranked AFTER I finish all the gear"...and they keep adding more haha

I accept that I'm weird.

Nice. Got many chunks, some good cash and the helmet finally had ink saver main. I won't be trading that one unless I get one with ink reaist up or something.

All in all, it was a good day in salmon run.

Gear doesn't really matter all that much. Obviously it helps if you are going for something specific. But awareness and taking advantage of opportunities can trump all of it.

Finally, 300% pay in Salmon Run.

Also, got a new personal record for a single haul. Got 42 eggs in wave 2 on this one.

Too bad it's all gone once this run is over. Back to Profreshional 40.

Walruses, camels, bears, rabbits, tigers and badgers.

I'm sure people are thinking this about me when I show up in ranked splatzones sporting a splat Jr., but I've made it all the way to A+ with it.

Honest!
