This is what we get for not being more supportive like Perfo. This is the game that SE fans deserved. Not the one it needed.
give me some credit here, I invented that rule
I don't get why anyone paid attention to this countdown. Square Enix (or either separate) hasn't made a single good game. If anything, these dumpy looking browser games are probably the most interesting thing they've made in their 30-ish year history.
This is what we get for not being more supportive like Perfo.
This is what we get for not being more supportive like Perfo.
I guess after they had one successful MMO they thought they could get away with a second, but then why would they have made it such garbage after spending 8 years making the first one good?
I'm sure not even Square Enix knows.
This is what we get for not being more supportive like Perfo.
Blame the guy who made the game. People in beta were telling them that the game wasn't good. That should have been a red flag right there.
I am truly disappointed in you.We should be ashamed of ourselves. ASHAMED.

I came for the disappointment. Left satisfied.
Why?You mods should warn the uninformed people out there on Gaf (editing the thread title).
Of course Duckroll would like to preserve the depressing atmosphere.
But there are still people who BELIEVE in square enix.

I still believe in Square ENIX, they released the FF IV CC and Theatrhythm in the past 2 years.

It's like the OT Thread about parents who lie about Santa.
You can break the chain of madness !
Anyway, it was fun.
Good night Gaf.
Oh yeah, yet another version of FFIV, the most by the book JRPG of all time(because it wrote the book, but still) and a rhythmn game with no original music.
Let's be fair here: how many of the big rhythm games were gotten for original music? Either people wanted to simulate the experience of playing a guitar or whatever, or they wanted to play out songs they liked. Similar here, they get to do some rhythm tapping to go along favorite songs from the FF series.Oh yeah, yet another version of FFIV, the most by the book JRPG of all time(because it wrote the book, but still) and a rhythmn game with no original music.
Lol i wonder if Square has given any thought to the constant barrage of Star ocean tweets during this countdown for a game few people to know one will likely care about.
Then again if they have of course any movement will be on the star ocean trading card /lightning dating sim that they will believe everyone truely wants...
It's fucking insane how far SE has fallen in the span of just one generation...Wada should be ashamed, and fired.
Why?
They have done everything in there power to disappoint.
I'd like to believe the huge amount of tweets about Star Ocean would make them rethink what they are doing (or not doing) with the franchise. Tri-Ace seems to be doing a lot of development assistance with games, but not making any on their own..
I've played Monster Dragon before, but not for long. The production values are pretty nice for a browser game, and there seems to be more strategy and system design than a normal card game: http://monsterdragon.jp/
I haven't tried Crystal Conquest yet though, but it has always looked interesting to me since they announced it: http://crystalconquest.jp/
Thank God for that. Would have missed out on a lot of excellent music

I would normally roll my eyes at a statement like this or write it off as negative hyperbole, but it really does feel like they're trying to underwhelm.
I knew I should've bought more Square-Enix merchandise. I should have believed and stopped criticizing parts of Square-Enix's games' design. Tch. What kind of Square-Enix fan am I?!No no no. I'm disappointed in YOU.
Yes. The world needed yet another release of Final Fantasy 4.I still believe in Square ENIX, they released the FF IV CC and Theatrhythm in the past 2 years.
You know, to celebrate FF5's anniversary.
Why?
PEOPLE FEARED iOS
WHAT THEY GOT WAS FLASH
A browser game!?
A browser game needed a COUNTDOWN!?
Because there are people who still believe in Capcom. It's like an endless cycle of why.
Well, if you were expecting a Japanese teasier site to be about a US localization then there was no way things were going to end well for you!So, no Bravely Default for US
So sad
To be fair I found Dragon's Dogma enjoyable, I have full faith they will ruin the sequel however.
Colbert.gifI'm going to make Browser Game my final prediction.
