Still, the company structure of Square Enix is much more similar to former Enix than former Square, considering Enix was the surviving company of the original merger. Still, Enix only had the Dragon Quest series to rely on in terms of multi-million game products, while Square had a few other series besides the Final Fantasy series.He does have a point though. All of Enix's side of games is pretty much gone (which consisted mostly of Tri-Ace and Cavia stuff).
Enix had been a big publisher for a long time, not just video games but comic books and other products as well. It even published some of the PSX Tomb Raider video games in Japan. Square Enix is simply following that structure, by becoming a big publisher of a variety of products in the West as well as its homeland.
If anything, it's more appropriate to rename SE as Enix than anything else.
